Not necessarily. I don't think signing someone like McLemore and trading Crabbe are really linked. I think Neil knows that he has to trade either Crabbe or Turner. They're both paid way too much money to come off the bench.

Neil has no way of trading Crabbe or Turner while making us better in the process, so I guarantee both of them will be Blazers next year.

In order to get rid of Crabbe or Turner, N.O. would likely have to attach a future 1st to their contracts. Using a future 1st along with Harkless, Davis, Aminu, and Vonleh is really our only realistic way of adding veteran talent, so attaching a future pick to E.T. or A.C. makes us worse while losing an asset we will need to get better.

We don't know that. We have no idea what the market is for them. There really are a lot of teams in the league with absolute shit as their starting two guard. Wes Matthews was able to sign for 17.5 million per year with a torn Achilles. There is a lack of true shooting guards right now. I think Crabbe has value. Maybe he wouldn't return a ton in a trade, but I think we could deal him to a team with cap space who strikes out in free agency, and maybe get a pick in the process.

I'm not sure what happened to Davis last season. He fell off a cliff, and then he got injured. I think his past stats and his contract make him very tradable though. I wonder if we could convince Philly to trade either Dario Saric or Covington with Hendo/Bayless as filler for Crabbe/Davis/Vonleh. I think Philly is ready to start competing with Fultz, Simmons, and Embiid. They need some solid veterans around them. Crabbe and Vonleh could slide right into the starting lineup.
