Blazers-Sixers game thread

Both backup PGs have sucked tonight - stop debating who was worse.

Let me put this out there for you.

SERGIO IS NOT THE GREATEST PG! HE'S NOT EVEN GOOD! HE TURNS THE BALL OVER AND CANT HIT A JUMPSHOT AND DOESN'T KNOW WHAT A SHOT CLOCK IS.

You are clueless, and it's really funny you're all CAPS and all at me. :biglaugh:

Sergio's the best PG we've got, and you have no eye for talent at all.

Hope you don't have a heart attack over my opinion but...(see my sig).

At least New Jersey will be coming off a back-to-back after their whupping by Boston tonight.

Man, our team is just racking up the injuries. I'm worried now.

Watching Sergio play makes me miss the John Crotty days...

Wow... John Crotty... that's a name from the past. How about Rick the Brunson Burner, or Rumeal Robinson! Those guys were great!

And OKC is beating Utah right now by two at halftime. Of course, I fully expect the Thunder to blow it at the end somehow.

Hell, I'd definitely take Jarret, Telfair, Koponen, an old Steve Kerr or McInnis then Sergio. He's garbage.

Did I hear Harvey say a couple weeks for Blake to come back with a grade 1 shoulder separation? yikes..

^ that would freaking suck, there goes our play off chances possibly....

:biglaugh:

Steals? All it proves for Sergio is that he is a gambler, which him and Rudy predominately are. Doesn't equate to good defense.

Does staying in front of your mom, contesting his shot and making it harder for him to shoot, and making a good box out for a teammate to get a rebound show up on the stats sheet?

Okay, first of my Mom doesn't play ball, but if she did there's no way Bayless could stay in front of her.

He is a picker's dream, never met a pick that didn't stop him.

Second, don't dis steals because that's the only defense Bayless has shown yet this year is the occasional steal.

How about Rick the Brunson Burner
Interesting bit of trivia for you (or maybe not).

Rick Brunson also played for the Adelaide 36ers, just as Luke Schenscher does now.

Excellent!

Now Sergio and Bayless get some run.

Sorry Steve, hope it doesn't hurt too much.

The only good thing about a loss tonight is that tomorrow, we have another game to look forward to.

Do you wear glasses? Are they fogged up? Bayless is always fighting through screens.

Sergio and his el matador defense sure is tenacious. Letting Dalembert go in for the dunk and running out of his way like a little girl sure does take balls. He wouldn't want to break a nail or anything.

Steals can be a good thing, but when your a gambler, i.e. Sergio, it's not a good thing because if he doesn't get the steal, his guy has nobody on him.

That doesn't surprise me. Brunson has gotten around everywhere in the world.

Neither should start. Bayless is still raw and Sergio just isn't that good.

PG: Roy
SG: Batum
SF: Outlaw
PF: Aldridge
C: Oden

Run with this starting 5 and see how it goes.

So who gets the start now? Sergio or Bayless?

As much as he's sucking... I'd still give it to Sergio to see if he can get any semblence of confidence back. We need both of them, and I think we'd get the same with Jerryd whether he came off the bench or started. Sergio needs someone to show some faith in him.

That Roy/Batum/Outlaw/Frye/Aldridge lineup that essentially destroyed our run was a pretty good call by Nate. I also appreciated him sitting Oden on the bench from the 7:03 mark in the third quarter and on.

Nate wanted offense, but that didn't really make sense to me, since Roy was taking all the shots anyways...

Especially when Greg was +5 tonight.. he was starting to show some grit when he got taken out.

And hahah.... Antonio just forgot Sergio's name in the postgame. Took him like 10 seconds to remember a player on the team he covers.
