I honestly had no idea they had a game today
 
Kris Murray still playing while Clingan got the game off.
 
Didn't think it could get worse than it has been, but it is.

It appears we did have a shooter (Johnson) on our summer league squad but chose not to play him until today.

He is easily good enough on defense - he's just too tentative on offense. He did hit a three with like his first shot today, and I was hoping that would mean he'd get untracked, but alas it was not to be. That one guy Johnson can hit threes, though.
 
After a 'mare of a first quarter, the second quarter was actually kind of fun. And I like this Olivier Nkamhoua guy (who I swear looks like Jordan Peele - facially, that is).

Cash Considerations
The team hasn't been open about what's been happening, but there's a few things that we know about:

  • He already slipped down the rotation his rookie year after Quin came in

  • During summer league he only played 1 game and didn't perform that well

  • His nephew tragically passed away over the summer, and there's been some controversy over his father potentially being involved

  • He made some weird tweets over the summer about Beyonce (edit: and the rapture)

  • He fell out of the rotation, but he didn't go down to the G-League until really late into the season (something the team isn't shy about doing). He also had some injury stuff late in the season, so he didn't play that much down there either
There hasn't been any transparency from the team on what's going on, and no reporter has reported what's going on. I suspect that some people might know what's going on and just aren't saying it (some people have implied such), but what's going on isn't public at all.
