Clingan reminds me of Przybilla in good and bad ways. Bad: he does not have great hands.
there's some truth to that, but I think it's also shitty passes.

French Aminu
QUITTER!I left the arena after that second clingan airball three. Too much SL ball on a day.
Have someone on the board go ask him - he's sitting courtside.brandon miller and jaime jaquez both played in SL.
why not scoot?
more dribbles for Anfernee !!Rupert was a walking turnover but other than that had almost decent stats (and was +2). But God he's painful to watch when he dribbles.
I encourage you to check out the stats of the other guys we were considering.Maybe we shouldn’t take journeyman WABCs in the lottery?
I swear I’ve heard that somewhere
Clingan seems alright, poor offense bad hands and slow but good defense and rebounding. About what I expected a serviceable center but nothing that will move the needle.
Better to trade out than draft a WABC in the lotteryI encourage you to check out the stats of the other guys we were considering.
What about when a top 7 pick can’t score 5 points?Doris Burke thinks Castle's 22 point night was impressive. That's bad analysis. When a top 4 pick can't score 30+ in Summer League, they go on bust watch

Pick #6 vs Pick #43It's just interesting because one of the knocks on Salaun was that he doesn't have a feel for the game yet, and I see that same thing with Rupert.
He IS slow... not just 'seems'.Clingan just seems slow. I'm sure he's gonna be fine but first impression is..... journeyman big man. I don't see how people thought he was the best player in the draft.
Biggest thing that stands out to me is that he doesn't seem to look completely uncoordinated like most rookies. He's good at going straight up and trying to avoid contact. I think he can play right away. But how good is a center that's just not really an offensive threat at all?
His biggest issue is speed and conditioning. He's 7'3" and 20 years old. His biggest issue at the moment frankly, is that he needs to get stronger in his lower half. I think he's the type that will become more aggressive the stronger and more comfortable he becomes. That'll come with time though.
Was an issue with the film I watched of him at UConn toothere's some truth to that, but I think it's also shitty passes.
Yeah, his offense needs work but the defensive potential is hard to missNeeds to score more.
Box score shows 5 fouls and 4 pointsWe're good. Ours did score 5.

Yes, it can be improved - but Im doubtful he can get to the level he needs to be to be a dominant player
the announcers said "mmyeaaa" when highlighting Clingan's stats. They liked the 5 blocks, but airballing from distance forced out strange noisesWhat about when a top 7 pick can’t score 5 points?
Bouyea kinda wrecked his former team:
11pts, 2reb, 6ast, 4stl, 4blk
