I tried so hard to cut him some slack the first year and last summer, and even the first part of last season. I'm just so pissed that he continues to do the same stupid shit he did his first summer league. Either he doesn't have the ability to learn this game, or our coaches aren't coaching him right.

He was actually much better his first summer league. I can't think of a player this young that has regressed this much in his first two years.

Barton is missing shots, and yes he has had a horrible game, but for a 7'1 center to only get 4 rebounds in 29 minutes is a fucking joke.

Barton has 10 boards and he's 6'5.

I don't know what happened to Leonard. I watched him play at Illinois and in his first year I thought he did reasonably well all things considered. Some people have written that he seems to be thinking too much. I've coached and played with guys like that, and he does appear to be doing that. But, even so, that's not enough to explain this drop off. I don't think I'm one to engage in much hyperbole, but, right now, Meyers Leonard ranks among the worst players I've seen in the NBA. He doesn't just look a step behind and like he doesn't understand the game. He looks totally uncoordinated much of the time. I worry sometimes he's going to seriously hurt one of his teammates. The Korean center we had a few years back might have been better than Meyers is now.

Did any Blazer not completely suck? Bobby Brown was 6-11 and 3-4 from three, but I think he conclusively proved he's not a PG. And a PG might've been helpful.

Still, I'm happy for The German Rondo, at least.

He isn't nearly good enough at defense to be Rondo.

Horrible effort today. Just horrible. Will paid some serious showboat tax from the last game. Not really anything to take away from this game that adds to the upcoming season. Joel disappointed me, Meyers blew his chance to get minutes and Will....well he played like he hadn't slept all night. When in Vegas

Their shooting over the last 3 games was virtually identical.

Will: 4-11, 5-15, 8-14
CJ: 4-11, 6-16, 10-16

Both had stretches where they made 5 shots in a row, and both had stretches where they missed 5 in a row. Both had 2 games that were not very good, and both had good games powered by a short stretch where they made everything they shot. That is how I define streaky. CJ has more polished moves that get him cleaner looks, but he still misses them. Will just attacks with reckless abandon and unorthodox moves.

I just don't think Will gets it. He thinks he's Penny Hardaway. He doesn't have an ounce of point guard in him.
