...but I think it's a mental thing. I think he has the same issues that Martell had. He tries too hard. He can't relax. He doesn't have confidence.

-Gasol moves like an old man.
-Morrison plays with blinders on.
-The team was lost when Lillard wasn't running the point.
-Price is solid. Steady PG.
-Leonard looked better than any big on the team outside LMA.
-I barely noticed Nic or Wes.

I think he has NBA talent. He was unstoppable in SL, but I think it's a mental thing. I think he has the same issues that Martell had. He tries too hard. He can't relax. He doesn't have confidence.

Unstoppable in summer league means nothing. Just watch the guy play, he's got nothing that stands out.

He's also terrible at reading plays and opposing defenses. Calling him a point guard is an insult to point guards.

I only saw the second half, but I thought he looked more like an NBA player. His handles have improved significantly. I think he can swing backup point guard duty in limited minutes. I thought he did look confident, actually. Trying to split double teams, for example, demonstrates confidence. I thought he was in attack mode.

Anytime we beat the Lakers, you have to be happy. Still not a playoff team this year, but it should be a fun team to watch.

Great way to start the season with this new group, chemistry is looking solid

It's really nice to see Lillard so comfortable. He already looks like a seasoned veteran. His demeanor reminds me of Roy, so calm and collected.

The defense looked pretty good, especially considering it's first game with a new system and lots of new players.

I enjoyed an easy win by the Blazers. Lillard looked nice, as did Leonard.

Not sure what game those posting in this thread were watching, but two pages complaining about Luke Babbit is just stupid and boring. If he's this year's designated scapegoat, what's the point in even watching the games? He'll be, at best, the 8th player in the rotation to start the season. It's like complaining about Przy for being terrible at everything outside of being gritty at times.

LA got 8 boards in 24 Mins though. That's pretty encouraging. Wes was 50% from the floor and 66% from 3.

It's probably been mentioned countless times throughout this thread, but the offense looks night and day different than last year. No isos! As a consequence, Aldridge maybe doesn't get as many shots as we'd want him to take. I'm sure they'll tweak it to get him more looks. It didn't seem to bother him, he looked engaged on defense and grabbing boards. All five players touch the ball on possessions. Guys moving. And it looks like they've run it for years, as there weren't sloppy, unsure turnovers that have haunted us in the past. Stotts appears to have these guys' attention! Fun game to watch.

Wes' handles doesn't seem much improved. But this is one game, so maybe it's too soon to call.

But what's troubling is LMA didn't go much into the low post. He was working mostly form the high to mid-post areas. I hope this is just him taking it easy for the pre-season.

Ball movement, player movement and off the ball screens, refreshing to see

Przy was a warrior. Please don't compare him to Babbitt.
