why not start boone at pf next to lopez. Yi ain't getting it done.
so it means more shots for shooters who can shoot like harris or vince or simmons or lopez
Yi don't shoot that great. Enough of his 1 for 9 nights. bench em
Boone isn't the greatest but is a damn good backup and teammate from what I've seen. A keeper!
He is horribly inconsistent and his offensive game has not improved one iota since he came to the Nets. His range beyond five feet is non existent and his foul shooting is the same--horrific.
I'm tired of him not improving. He's fine in spots, but you never know what youre going to get.

Yi also plays with the starters so that would effect his +/- stats. He could be positivewhile doing nothing. If Frank had "given" the starting job to Anderson/Swift/Nagira/Boone/Hassel/or even the ball boy and was producing like Yi i'd have the same threads but with a different name. The difference here is i'm a nets fan, not a Yi fan. And, Id be a Yi fan if he would play some defense. I can accept a poor shooting night, but can't accept matador defense. That hurts the team the most. And, its not like he's gonna get better cause he has no clue on defense...
lopez is too slow, he isn't suit for nets, the reason why nets win yesterday is boone play the c in OT, but boone is too short, Yi is the best answer.

yi is the shooter boone is so bad. He is like a sick cow in june. If you do not like yi you are the silly dumbs.
this is pretty much the best post in this history of posts.

because Simmons is better than Yi. Do you understand that Yi is not a good basketball palyer? He doesn't belong in the nba. Yes he's seven feet tall but thats about it. You see to play defense you first must have desire to play defense. He allows everytime his man to go right past him and then he tries to block the man from behind him. That type of defense may have worked against smaller slower players in china, but it clearly won't cut it here in the nba. 30 games into the season and i've not seen him beat his man to the point once. I've not seen him force his man to drive out of bounds. Its always right past yi for an uncontested shot. Every once in a while he gets lucky and is able to block from behind the man, and he does get some blocks helping out when he drops to the middle and maybe blocks a guards shot.
When on offense he just stands at the 3pt line, and when the ball is on the other side of the court and shot from there he then just drifts towards the half court line and goes back to play defense, ( which he doesn't know how to play). Meanwhile Ryan Anderson does crash the boards, does dive after loose balls, does get to the line, and has a knack for the ball.
After 30 games i've seen enough to know maybe, and i do mean maybe, he may get it in his 3rd year if he hires a personal trainer who teaches him defense and other parts of the game so he can use his big frame to make a difference. He won't be doing it this year...
So if i give an honest evaluation about a inferior player i'm being a hater. Well, whatever.
Ryan Anderson shows improvement and promise. Simmons shows improvement and promise. Hayes does, Dooling does, and the only two players who don't are sean williams and Yi. So, based on your theory i'm a Yi hater and a swat hater. OK whatever.
As a fan i have the right to evaluate players. Now if your just a Yi fan you believe the franchise whoever it is must give Yi all the time in the world to learn basic basketball, even if it leads to many many loses. A nets fan wants the best players playing, and the over hyped players waived, traded, or sitting on the end of the bench...
So you say im a Yi hater, or maybe i'm a bad basketball player hater as well....
oh yeah, go nets!!!
