You're missing the point though: Olshey finally did something! One of the laziest GMs in the league actually got off his chair and did something.

Maybe after a few reps he'll begin to actually scout unknown\undrafted players and give them a shot too, but that's a lot to ask from one of the laziest GMs in the league.

Of course not. 2) The Baldwin addition counted? New situation this year. 3) Rakovich was waived 11 days after the Vonleh trade? No, we just owned his rights, but didn't sign him. 4) My new theory: Maybe they give teams a grace period after the Trade Deadline to return to 14?

It would actually not make this roster better at all. It would make it thin up front. You guys don't like Meyers. I get that. But Meyers is valuable as a back up. If you don't have him you lose a backup that can come in a drill a three just he just did last week. He has played well this year but most just simply cannot figure this out? Don't give me that "For the money" crap. Go find a backup 7 footer that likes being here and will do whatever you ask of him and let me know what he will cost. If you come back anything higher than 7 mil you don't have an argument at all. That is if you can find one anywhere at all?

Thanks (except for the sarcasm). I can think of various ways to calculate a team's average number of players over a season (add number on each day and divide by number of days, do the same but by games instead of days, etc.) so I won't take up anyone's time and look for the calculation method, which isn't on the link you gave.

Per Larry Coon's NBA Salary Cap FAQs: 12

Normally an NBA team can have a maximum of 15 players on its roster during a season (and up to 20 during the offseason, starting on the day after the team's season ends). A team normally has 12 or 13 players on its Active List, who are eligible to play in games, and can have as few as 11 for up to two weeks at a time. Any remaining players must be on the team's Inactive List, and are ineligible to play in games. Teams temporarily can have four players on their Inactive List (bringing their roster size to 16) with league approval in the event of a hardship2.

Teams must suit-up at least eight players and have two players on its Inactive List for every game.
