Wow this is crazy, I’ve always been a Billups fan as a person but not so much as a coach. Honestly I don’t see how this doesn’t cost him his job. Keep asking myself why when you’re making millions would you do something so stupid.

New coach Mike Malone? Tibbs? Others
MALONE X 10000000

A couple of our mods have poker in their name. Coincidence?

BREAKING NEWS: SLYPOKERDOG HAS BEEN ARRESTED BY THE FBI FOR ILLEGAL GAMBLING.

Yes it is about the organization. New owners should have done there home work in background check before giving him a new contract. Something this big had to have rumors among his friends and players in the nba.

There is no background check that could have been conducted that would've lead them to a secret FBI investigation, otherwise every masterminded criminal would run background checks on themselves to make sure the FBI (or any other agency) wasn't looking into them.

Fine. But as soon as Trump says “So many bad things going on in Portland, just look at their basketball coach….” It’s free game.

Free game in OT. You are welcome to make a thread there or talk about it there in an existing thread.

So, since it's out of eastern New York, was Chauncey flown there? Or is he in jail here?

I'm sure there are morality clauses that the team put in contracts. like, you know, if you're ever arrested by the FBI and your actions tarnish the reputation (already not the greatest) of the franchise we can cut your contract.
Hollinger: "Coaches' contracts contain 'moral turpitude' clauses. Chauncey Billups signed a contract extension in Portland at the end of last season. However, that doesn't mean he'll get paid if the Blazers fire him..."

Imagine the draft picks available in prison.

They also play a little differently in there. You can't exactly complain to the ref about being shoved or fouled.

The team needs to relieve (fire) him today. You don't suspend someone for this type of thing. If they fire him, he still gets his contract. They can then work on nullifying the contract once he is convicted. I would think this falls under a moral turpitude clause.
