Budinger

We have Freeland, Meyers Leonard and If Wright could get on track this season he could be really good as a stretch 4 that can all backup the PF spot. Budinger would really help scoring off the bunch. If the Wolves are interested in TRob for Budinger, might be a good move for the Blazers.
I'd much rather send Claver and Leonard, if given the choice.

12:48pm: Portland isn’t shopping Robinson, Deveney clarifies via Twitter, suggesting that the onus would be on the Wolves or another team to convince the Blazers to give him up.

11:18am: The Blazers are also in the mix for Budinger, as Sean Deveney of The Sporting News hears, with Thomas Robinson a possibility to head to Minnesota in the deal (Twitter link).

9:35pm: The Pacers have also shown interest in Budinger, tweets Wolfson. With Paul George injured and Lance Stephenson gone in free agency, Indiana could use an outside threat on their roster.

It would be dumb IMO. You just said Freeland, Beiber, and Wright....

Deandre is a pretty freakish athlete for a 7 footer I think he meant more along the lines of this Jordan

No he isn't. He has a 30 inch Vertical. Meyers Leonard has a higher vertical than he does at 32.

I thought he meant Jordan Farmar.

Would be an upgrade to the bench but at the cost of cramping next off season I pass.

When I heard that he was on the block, a potential deal had the Blazers written all over it. But then I got to thinking, he has two years left at 5 mil a year does he not? That hinders their flexibility for next year. All of a sudden it didnt make any sense.

Not unless Budinger has a good year. If he does, he opts out and becomes a FA to sign a new deal.

yeah and Bud has a big time problem staying healthy and playing games, no thx and IMO no way Olshey touches that contract with his option year

What does everyone realistically expect to get with cap space next offseason? I am not expecting anything.

Get ready for another Hedo like disappointment. I fell for watching the cake bake once. Not going to do it again.

So I assume you are for a deal for Budinger and feel he is the missing piece?

If the team wins big, I feel most of the money will be spent on the current core. If not I assume everything this current regime has done or not done in the last two years was for the sole purpose of having flexibility for next summer. There are some key free agents potentially available.

I think the biggest question will be with Mathews. How much money will he want and will he return?

Budinger has had trouble staying on the court...flashback. I'd pass

. If anybody needed a veteran scorer on their team, it's the Wolves so I'd be very suspicious about taking on this guy. The Wolves are supposed to take our damaged players and pay them too much aren't they?

I don't know about everyone else but i really like having Dorell on the team and don't want to trade him mostly because he is the person i'd trust most if Batum missed time. I know we don't use him a lot but a savy veteran that can shoot is never bad on the bench.

Both Wright and Claver are way better defenders than Budinger is

He is content with his role as well.

As much heart as he brings to the court, I would be careful with how much you pay him. To me is limited on how much he will improve. Meaning there is a limit and I would prob have issues paying him much more than MLE
