Anyone recommend anything good?

Noise-cancelling ones would be preferred. And what are the best brands?

Studying in Sterling Memorial at noon can be a bitch and I need complete silence. No way i'm wasting 15 minutes to drive back home.

might be out of the range, but I got the Sennheiser IE8 noise-canceling buds on a steal and I'm quite happy with them

are you guys working out with your earbuds? I'd be so afraid of breaking them.

I've had the Beats by Monster for a little over a year, best things I've ever heard. Since I got mine, Wheels, 'Tone, and 4 other guys I work with have all tried them and got themselves a pair. Unreal, the sound! My boy from Dallas who does the same thing I do for the Mavs had just bought the top of the line Bose and tried mine on...... no joke...... took his back and bought the Monsters the next day!

$350 @ amazon! what'd you pay?

about 300 a couple of years ago in Japan, or about what Best Buy wanted for some Dr Dre Beats phones. The IE8's were going for around 750 here at the time.

I liked the beats for over the ear, but their buds were not for me. I needed buds, so I'd been looking for awhile.

I didn't get a warm fuzzy with the Bose buds.

I paid $295 at BestBuy! They have them there for you to try them out!

HCP, where did you get your set?

I'm looking for some in-ear and I'd probably buy the 'PowerBeats' in-ear phones from Dre.

BestBuy. 'Tone got the in ear and loves 'em. I'm used to the over the ear from my DJn' days.

Wow, you guys really do define the average American consumer. Just buy everything that's mainstream, that's right! Bose, Skull Candy, Beats... You all belong to me now.

What does everyone think about Bowers & Wilkins? And Bose?

I really don't want to spend serious dough on these, but i'll earn it all back really easy after school.

Bose are generally overrated due to their marketing over performance

Go for sennheisers.

I've got to say though I was impressed by skull candy in ear.25 bucks had a built in microphone.

anyways, i'm still on the fence.

B&W P5, Bose QuietComfort 15, and Studio Beats By Dre are what i'm looking at.

No earbuds. They hurt my (tiny) ears.

I'm serious about the over the ear Beats! I used Sony's and Bose when I used to DJ and these are AMAZING! They sound like they have subwoofers in them, no joke! More then worth the 3 bills!
