There was a problem with the Blazer app and getting the tickets for the game last night. So I had to call and email the Blazer box office. Finally someone calls back and they find that I once had an old Ticketmaster account under my SPD email address. The guy is trying to fix the problem and move the tickets to my current Ticketmaster account when he gets silent for a moment and goes.... "Are you SlyPokerDog of the Blazers?" "Yes." "We love your stuff, we read the forum all the time!"

So it's not just the lunch lady, I guess it's also the ticket office, lol.

THIS ... but the bigger reason for expansion is the $$$$ it brings the other owners, where as they I don't think they get anything for relocating a franchise. Already the talk is that each of the expansion teams (most likely LV and Seattle) would command at LEAST 2.5 billion, meaning again AT LEAST $5 billion to share amongst the current 30 owners. These guys want that cash, not to let another franchise in a historically strong NBA market, where there is ZERO competition from other professional teams, and where if they moved the Blazers, Portland isn't getting another team. Why let one of your key expansion markets be wasted by relocation and not make a dime off it?

As for the next owner being from Oregon, or even the PNW, good luck with that. Most of these owners are now multi-multi billionaires and can go anywhere at the drop of a hat. As long as it's someone with deep pockets, that is looking to put the best product on the court, I don't care where they are from.
