Carmelo for Griffin?!?

I bet NY called Olshey and offered him Carmelo for LMA. I'm sure Olshey had a nice laugh and politely hung up.

I don't think much of Blake at all, but I really hope the Clippers go for that deal.

How close are CP3 and Melo?

Oh how sweet that would be. Carmelo is not a born winner in the NBA.

Closer now than they would be if they played a whole season together. I just don't see how they could co-exist. But they seem to think they can. Maybe I am wrong but can Melo excel with a PG who dominates the ball like cp3?

It would be nice if Griffin went to NY. That means Aldridge could start for the all star team. They don't go with the next highest right? The nba decides.

I think that's the type of PG Melo really needs. A PG who makes Melo work for position before getting the ball. One who doesnt let Melo get Lazy on O or D. Also play Melo at the 4. His stats are pretty damn impressive at the 4.

I think in the result of a trade if its right before the AS game the player still plays on whatever team he was voted into.

This would be an old Donald Sterling type of trade.

This might be one of those few trades that makes both teams worse. Hmmmm ... yep I wanted to see it happen just for the pure entertainment of it. :)

All Dolan ever wants to do is go after superstars that won't win any games.

Steph Marbury
Carmelo Anthony
Blake Griffin?

I actually think it would make the Clippers a lot better. They'd add a much more reliable offensive player, and lose the soft front court quality they're known for. Paul and Melo are two bad asses, even if you don't like their games, and Paul's got the personality to keep Melo in line. The downside is you're trading away youth in Griffin, and Melo isn't exactly the picture of good health.

Imagine trying to stop that pick-n-roll duo late in games.

After watching Griffin play this year I think the Clips should stick with him. I think the Anthony/CP3 combo would be great and potentially unstoppable but Griffin is younger, comparable talent, and still improving.

CP3's not getting any younger either.

Yeah looking back, Melo hasn't really played with anyone or been coached by anyone who's really kept him in check. The only time he has, it was Mike K. and a smattering of alpha dogs for Team USA.

Guy shouldn't get a pass for this, but it's an interesting thought exercise.
