The only way we take Lillard is if Drummond isn't available.

Wow. I made my post before looking at everyone else's because I wanted to be unbiased. I'm surprised at how many of us think it's Lillard & Rivers. Would never imagine those of us on here forming a consensus.

I'll go with:
#6 Lillard
#11 Leonard

Think of the fun we'd have with Mike Rice trying to keep straight which is which.

Did anyone watch the draft preview on ESPN2? Chad Ford said that the scouts he talked to say Lillard's absolute best-case ceiling to go in this draft is #8 to the Raptors.

Anyone?

Btw, he had a last minute second workout today with the Raps.

6: Harrison Barnes
11: Perry Jones III

I am surprised as well that so many said Lillard and Rivers, but that is one of the scenarios I have posted in the last month. So I will go with that as my final one.

I want a new young backcourt so if River is taken 9 or 10, then I will be OK with Waiters or Ross at #11. I doubt all three will be gone by then.

They didn't mention the Blazers when talking about Lillard -- they said that the people he talked to the #8 pick is his best-case scenario.

What do you mean by scouts said that's his best-case scenario? It's not like the 8th pick in the draft means something special or quantifiable. Scouts usually talk about a guy's ability to play in the league and how he'll stack up, not draft slotting.

6. Lillard
11. Zeller (I'm hoping for Royce White here, but I know that's seen as too big of a reach.)
40. Jae Crowder
41. Scott Machado

Chad Ford quote....

Emeka Okafor may be more battle tested. Dwight Howard is certainly more athletic and skilled at the same age. But there is no one in the draft with a bigger upside than Pavel. At 7-foot-5 and 300 pounds (his measurements in Treviso), Pavel has the potential to dominate physically in the league some day. He is huge, strong, fairly athletic for a player his size and bursting with energy.

Lillard - Don't give a fuck what Chad Ford says.

Perry Jones...Ross...Rivers...

Ross.

Barnes/Lillard.

I'm still going to say the two I want for this team are PJIII and Rivers.

Based off intel, apparently.

IT WAS NOT CHAD FORD'S OPINION!

He was relaying information from scouts and whomever his "insiders" are.

His ceiling is #8 while same say his range is more #10-20.

What's with the Rivers love. Didn't you mofos get a belly full of chucking and tunnel vision last year?

I don't care. The guy is less reliable than Ric Bucher.

Canzano has been blowing his horn about getting those two the last two days

 Well, whatever I don't read him. My gut just tells me that the Blazers really like Lilliard (I'm kind of ambivalent myself) and I like Ross quite a bit out of all the guys likely to still be on the board at 11 (way over Rivers and Lamb and the big white stiffs like Leonard and Zeller).
