I don't get the people that pile their plates with food. You can go up as many times as you want, why mush all that food together? Gross.

It gets cold. Pick a spot, get a few things and go back. Plus they go together and don't get cold. People that take 5 minutes to pick out the best of one thing ruin everything else on their plate

@SlyPokerDog walks this line quite well, in that he has published the defined rule of, no personal insults will be allowed. While I can find more than a little disagreement with what he defines or sees as a personal insult, his rule is understandable, and easy enough to restrict ones self and remain in compliance.

We now seem to be entering a new era, where the rules are not defined, perhaps there is no rule that can be expressed, other than the post did not please the moderator. I sure hope we do not have members that like to see censorship of post that do not please them. Failing to hit the "like" button is one thing, supporting undefined righteous censorship is quite a big step toward the intolerable.

Me either. I can't stand that. Some nasty ass all you can eat buffet shepards pie. I like to be able to taste and savor each thing I am eating, seperately.

I really want to edit this post, as it feels unnecessarily inflammatory, but it only involves a (disingenuous) suggestion, a commentary on post content, and a question. Nothing I feel I can legitimately deem a personal attack.

Then there is no reason for your post and if you want to edit or delete a post then I suggest you go back and do it to the one where marzy personally attacks me with gfy.

The reason for my post is to give an example of a situation where a mod sees a post he doesn't like, feels isn't conducive to civil conversation, but isn't moderated because it doesn't violate forum policy. Essentially in contrast to the OP which claims posts will be edited/deleted simply because they are displeasing to the mods.

Also, telling someone to GFY isn't a personal attack either, in my mind.

"GO FUCK YOURSELF" isn't a personal attack? What the fuck is it then? A making for a new Hallmark Greeting Card? That is pure bullshit

As I recall, I made a comparison of dviss to the woman piss about being late for closing time wanting special treatment because she was Black. It seems quite accurate to me as part of the debate about whether the complaint was reasonable. I am sure @dviss has an opinion very much different than mine. I see no reason it should not be solicited.

It is. I have had similar posts edited during the playoffs. It was changed to "your post can go fuck itself."
