Is Parsons really worth us throwing him the max? Will he really make our team better? I'm not convinced...he hasn't been the same player since he got injured...I mean hes a good player, gets along with Lillard, but that's a big chunk of change out of our cap space.

Hendo is good off the bench. Crabbe has been a needed 3rd scorer. Plumlee and Davis are a hell of a center duo. Vonleh is good defensively and has offensive flashes.

Would hate to lose someone, have them become an all-star for another team and always wonder what if.

Yeah in theory we can just add Parsons. Also not sure what it would do having a 3rd player who wants to play 30 mpg. Its so effective having Dame/CJ surrounded by high energy guys hustling and nobody entitled to a certain role.

I think Durant would fit far better here than Parsons, but getting either of them is no walk in the park. I hope Neil turns Portland not being a free agent destination city on its head, and scores big on a high key player for us...not that there are many in this summer's free agency.

I don't think Crabbe is going to get as big of offers as some might think...I don't think think he is going to quite command a max contract...

I don't think Leonard will ever be an all-star...probably not Henderson either( he is going to be a career sixth man)

He started out slow, but he has been playing very well lately.

In February he averaged 18.8 ppg, 5 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1 steal, and he shot 52.3% and 48% from three.

Harkless and Aminu are too much alike. They're inconsistent from three, they're slashers, they hustle, and they defend. I like them both, but Aminu is a bit more consistent and we REALLY need a third scorer. I think parsons would fit in perfectly. I think he'd fit our culture as well.

Without LaMarcus returning, re-signing Lopez for any amount simply wasn't going to happen. I would have been stoked if we would have, though.

I cringed a little when we signed a former L*ker, but I liked Ed's game even when viewed through the Purple-and-Piss hategoggles.
 
Kent Bazemore is the guy we go after instead of Chandler (he's gonna max from somebody); he's Chandler-ish but more defensive (which I think is a plus actually). IF we were to get Bazemore vs. Chandler, they're similar enough that it wouldn't hurt that much talent-wise & quite possibly, Bazemore might end up to be just as talented as Chandler because they're both good ages/only a yr. apart in age (Bazemore= 25 Chandler= 26). Chandler is the better player between the 2 (that's why he's a max guy) for now... BUT... it's this difference we CAN capitalize on!:ygrin: Both ^ are Neil-type targets but I think we should show Bazemore love & pay the man (he won't b a max contract but I think he'll play like a max player!)!:smiley-yay:

Yeah Bazemore would be a good addition. I wonder how much he gets paid per year; $13 million?

As much as that sounds its basically a Wes Matthews priced contract when we got him from Utah with this crazy cap.

Oh, I got that it was a joke or friendly needle, I just didn't get the joke, lol. I didn't even remember that Henderson's dad played in the NBA...

No on Barnes. He doesn't have the right skills Portland needs.

Against Houston, Boston, & now Toronto everyone who can is selling out trying to stop Dame & CJ - making their lives a living hell. The defending teams are having a varied degree of success doing so - but what Portland needs is someone who can score for their-selves at the SF position. Henderson is the best option we have... and he is only 'OK' at doing it. Aminu has his place, but it's not an attacking SF. Crabbe & Mo just don't have those ball handling skills.

Parsons is the best option that we realistically can get.
 
Portland will probably have to offer the max, or near the max to get Parsons, Horford or Derozen
