Hahahahahaha. Moderators insulting people and twisting facts and claiming non existent agendas

So proud…..

K so now you resort to insults because you didn't read the answer to your own question? I posted it because stren said he was a good person. I countered that with bis criminal history and later stated good people dont commit armed robbery.
I wont insult you for you missing that, like you insulted me though….

Committing crimes doesn't mean someone is a bad person (fun fact, it auto corrected to vomiting crimes which would be a horrible way to have a crime done to you).

The cop who killed him didn't know he had a history. In fact, his history doesn't really matter, just as your history as an oft banned/renamed poster shouldn't matter either.

Not really. Separate situation.

This is what you posted, " I posted criminal records because Floyd was called a good person. Good people don't commit armed robbery. Period. But you can twist that around like everything that gets twisted around here…"

I would argue that good people can do bad things, and bad people can do good things. We're complex creatures.

It's not like he raped someone, or kidnapped children, or murdered someone or had a DUI.

Nor was any of those crimes, which were petty and *15 years* before he was murdered, relevant to his personhood now.

Drug addiction (or any kind of addiction) does not make a person a "bad" person.

We're complex creatures.

Good example: Robert Downy Jr (tho those were mostly drug related incidences). Tim Allen is another. Danny Trejo, Judge Mathis and I'm sure many others.
People can reform, and people can change their ways. Also, petty crimes are not the same as inciting violence towards people for simple act of being different and wanting to exist.

You know who I'd rather be friends with? Someone like George Floyd over someone like Charlie Kirk or Nick Fuentes or that guy with the Nixon tattoo on his back.

Again. No one said he deserved to die. I even said those celebrating his death are as disgusting as those celebrating Kirks death.

Please do not read into it more than what i actually said. Those who commit armed robbery are not good people. This statement has nothing to do with his death and everything to do with Steen considering him a good person. He wasn't. He was an addict who, instead of begging for help, made the choice to steal from others. What about that is being a good person?

Regarding my banning? I agree and i agree Floyds history has nothing to do with how he died. Or why he died. but in this thread people point out my banning, so it actually does matter to some here…why don't you point that out and say my banning should not be relevant to this discussion in this thread?
I don't want to assume so i ask. But at this point it feels very selective instead of impartial.

I can agree with that, but good people make amends for mistakes like that. Not repeat them. Now Floyd, to my knowledge, did not repeat armed robbery. But he stole several times, was caught and convicted, then escalated to armed robbery. That isn't a good person doing something bad to me. That is a bad person continually trying to take from others. That is not a good person to me.

I would counter committing a crime doesn't. Repeatedly committing crimes that harm others does.

He threatened someone’s life with a gun while taking their belongings. Ever had a gun pulled on you? I have. Had a barrel pressed into my back and told to hand over my wallet. It could scar you for life.

What if you go a long time without committing a crime?

OR you commit fraud?

or scam people out of money?

I would say time heals faster for some than others. Those who had thier lives threatened with a gun may never forgive.
Was the fraud or scam including a threat to end ones life by pointing a gun at the victim?

I would say the devil is in the details.

Yeah, the fake tweet about Clemente was too stupid even for JD Vance. But there is a point, the Jesus-ification (not a word but you know what I mean) of Charlie Kirk. Criticizing him is firing offense. Put up statues. The graphic depicting him with Lincoln, JFK, Martin Luther King and Jesus. Mandatory Christian prayers for Kirk in military. Congressional memorial. And a big Nuremberg rally planned.

I have attended probably thousands of sporting events. Baseball has a moment of silence on Memorial Day for those who served and on 9/11 for those who died that day. If a president dies. Never for a podcaster, especially one who sowed division and spewed racism. All of a sudden it's mandatory for baseball and football to have a moment of silence for Kirk.

I am a student of history and this is disturbingly like when a minor Nazi bureaucrat was killed and hailed as martyr for fatherland. And used as excuse for mass repression.

I doubt Bondi is stupid enough to bring criminal charges against anyone for saying mean things about Kirk. But the threat is used so people will stay silent.

@julius and I do bad things all the time!

Love the last part of this post….. I’d sit down at a BBQ with Floyd completely knowing his history and enjoy myself. Same reason I live in NE Portland and don’t venture to your west side!

Are people still arguing that Floyd deserved to die by a cop stepping on his neck and killing him because he had a criminal past? But somehow trying to whitewash Kirk even though he brought several hundred thousand people to spout and parrot racist, homophobic, bigoted and misogynistic language?

Like, this is an actual discussion people are having? Im hanging out with Floyd all day. Kirk can go fuck himself and im never uttering a word to him.

So then you say both people are bad? Is that the conclusion? Honest question.

I didnt originate bringing Floyd up. Someone else did, dont remember who.

But, I still stand by neither person deserved to die.

I posted that anyone celebrating Kirks death is just as disgusting as anyone celebrating Floyds death. You the. Went into personal detail and I posted more criminal facts. But i did neither praise nor condemn either person. Simply stated anyone celebrating anyones death like this is disgusting.

I am saying anyone who repeatedly commits crimes against other individuals is someone who is not learning or trying to get better, but instead ramped up the crimes to using a deadly weapon to threaten to take others belongings.
are you arguing that good people do this?

One person was convicted multiple times. One was not.
One is having their quotes drastically truncated and taken out context to fit a narrative. The other used a deadly weapon to threaten others. One did not.

Facts matter.
