I was about to post the above report. The interesting part to me is that it sort of implies that the leaked ATF report isn't fake, but it might just be an overall summary of evidence that hasn't necessarily been fact checked yet. Either way, it's been a clownshow so far. Patel needs to resign.

That people who speak (spread lies) are valid targets for violence and should expect being shot / offended physically.

I would argue all here should oppose this logic.

If someone spreads lies - teach people to see through it. If someone manipulates words - put him in place and stand corrected.
If you have a set a values you believe in - teach others about it and offer them to join in shared values.

I didn't say it was valid. I said is reality. I would hope that the recent increases in political assassination attempts (mostly by right wing wackos) would teach people that.

I'm advocating that people learn from these lessons and knock the shit off.

Agreed. And I believe if it were a left wing activist they would have used an AR-15 (which is incredibly easy to get in Utah) rather than (I believe) a bolt action rifle that almost nobody would advocate for banning.

Yes, it never should have happened. 100% agree and he should be alive. But your words do have consequences and not everyone and every scenario you put yourself in (live events with thousands of people) are going to be safe.

It sucks, but theres risk involved, and he was a target. Its just the world and political climate we live in, spearheaded by the guy who he for the most part championed for.

It needs to change. All of it.

I'm curious how you can engrave anything on ammunition. Do it on the casing and it can jam the action. Do it on a bullet and it won't be accurate at all

I also wonder how you engrave words onto bullets. Also, don't firearms have serial numbers? If weapon recovered shouldn't law enforcement be able to trace it?

When mob stormed the Capitol, when Paul Pelosi was attacked, when Minnesota Democrats murdered, when Joel Shapiro was threatened, their supporters called for legal prosecution of those responsible. No one called for banning Republican party, deporting immigrants who support Republicans, mass arrests and definitely not going to war. Not both sides.

Evil things I am for: equal civil rights for all, end to extreme economic inequality where someone has hundreds of billions of dollars while 2 billion people go hungry. Protect environment. Right to health care and education. Scientific research. Libraries. Better mass transit. Sensible immigration laws. Access to cultural events. Every child born welcomed with joy, not forced on unwilling woman. Not using rape and starvation as weapons of war. Taking care of cats.

Sorry to double quote here but holy shit he looks really bad. Hes always cognizant of how we seems to appear and this one he is out to lunch. Im even trying to give him the benefit of the doubt (though he never deserves it)... this is bad. Hes never done that.

Charlie Kirk was a piece of shit. That doesn't make his assassination a good thing, or deserved. And it will almost certainly not be helpful in any way.

But he was definitely a POS.

He was a shock jock who knowingly lied and hurt the country for financial gain.
