But ya, eharmony sucks. I did it for a while. Mostly women I wasn't attracted to, or crazy... I went out on four dates. One girl had HPV and didn't tell me until we were both naked in her bed... that was a close one.

I'd also suggest signing up for a trivia group at a local bar if they have those in LA. I've a couple friends who have met their partners are things like trivia night. A nice little competitive setting where you can chat and mingle with people while having a few drinks.

Most chicks are weird like that. That's why I rarely ever went hunting for girls because I have a major fear of rejection, and it's just easier when they come to you. When they feel like you're not a threat AND you're not interested, they usually try their hardest to get your attention.

where the hell were you going?! I have gone to many bars, and only once in college had a girl hit on me. only i was too stupid at the time, and assume she thought i was someone she knew:sigh: so i looked and then ignored because i didn't recognize...

Here's a tip. Go to the bar with chicks. Friends, sisters, cousins, whatever. Chances are chicks will flock to you and will be interested if they see you break away from the pack to go talk to them, they'll love you instantly.

hmm, except i have no sister, and no cousins my age within 90 miles... The female friends might be able to swing, but they aren't much of the bar scene or dancing...

This reminds me of the Star Trek episode with the half black and half white people who hated each other because they were colored on opposite sides.

It seems from this thread that the men in LA are just good natured caring men and the women are cold hearted moronic sluts.

What seems more likely to me is that the entire city and culture in LA is just a giant cesspool of human degradation and debauchery. Yeah, that's the ticket.
