This team is not a place that attracts top level talent, coaches and now GM's! Why? PA is an unstable force and the league knows it. This is a billionaire owner that didn't even give season ticket holders playoff Tshirts when he's had sell out crowds for 20+ years.... He's got the draft right around the corner with no GM or coach in place and all of this is supposed to instill confidence in being a blazer? HAHA!

We'll lose Batum this year and "if" LA could opt out ,he'd be gone in a New York minute. It will take this team 5 years with "proper" management to compete for a title at the least. IF PA doesn't make some masterful moves, the next to go will be the fanbase. Good luck selling Felton, Wes, Pryz, Elliot and LA as your featured team.

This team hasn't made it out of the first round of the playoffs since 2000 and that's when we had some talent which we don't have today. Management has in all ways failed to honest and straight forward with fans and season tickets holders and I for one am tired of hearing the same BS over and over again with no results. This team is a shell because we have no leaders here from owner down. It a yes man ship on boat that needs a seasoned captain.

Feel better now that you've stated the obvious? That was your argument....... here is mine........

I remember back in the early 80's us blowing a huge 4th quarter lead to Kansas City or some random team. I was watching the game in our basement with my dad and must have been something like 4 or 5 of his fellow die-hard Blazer fans. They were freaking out and cussing and pissed and bitchin' about how Ramsey didn't know shit and trade Thompson and Carr and so on. And the next morning when my pops and I were getting ready to go out and play some hoops, he was putting on his worn out '77 championship tshirt and I was putting on my brand new Darnell Valentine tshirt, he looked at me and said,"Why are you so sad?" "Games like last night are what make the wins that much better!" "Never bail on your team, ever!"

And that's how I look at the Portland Trailblazers. I will stick with this team thru thick and thin, good and bad. I apologize to people like yourself who feel they need to come on a forum and just bash the shit out of everything. I could never imagine doing that to my favorite team. You were probably one of the ones on here when Brandon was being given' props by Kobe and Wade about being one of the best 2s in the game, you were complaining about his defense. Could never do it. Of course things aren't going smooth, but we got to ride it out. Times like this make the times win we are winning 55 games a season that much better. I don't think I should be cracked on by "fans" on here of having a positive outlook about MY team.
 
It's a battle of incompetent owners. Donald Sterling vs. Paul Allen. Who can make the bigger joke of their franchise first?
 
I hope POR can get Olshey, I think he is the right choice for GM....

lol, well at least Allen isn't as cheap as Sterling....He may be as crazy (crazier?) though....

Owner A: Chiseler, racist, cheapskate, bad tan
Owner B: Wastrel, aloof, eccentric, "fatist", bad teeth

Tough call.
 
The Clippers owner is the Marge Schott of the NBA.

IIRC he didn't want any "blacks" in his apartment building he owned because they "will stink up the place"

Sterling is a piece of work.
 
Canales did an admirable job with the cards he was dealt. That said, I think he'll be a good coach some day, just not ready yet.

Buchanon on the other hand, no way. Give me somebody with a good track record on draft day. Its what this team needs.

Well thank God it never came to Buchanan becoming the man ... now hopefully Olshey is given an honest chance.

Not only did they remove the interim tag it appears that the Blazers have also removed the GM title as well.
 
No truth to the rumor that PA is going to let Chad make the draft picks he wants (Evan Fournier @ 6 and Kyle O'Quinn at 11) before security comes to escort him out.
