Dumping a lot of salary - maybe going after a free agent this summer? Beal, anyone?

How much cap space can we open up this off-season?

Nurk is next.

I know Billups was a guard but fuck

To some degree, yes.

The main reason is that nobody has put together a sound reason was a GM, fighting to make his job permanent would be turning down a bunch of great players in other trade offers only to get marginal ones. If you have a reasonable theory, I'm all ears.

There is little doubt in my mind Cronin has a better idea of what ownership wants, how the cap works, what players are available, who is more talented than who, than anyone on this board.

These trades are about contracts, not directly talent. CJ and Norm had long, expensive contracts attached to them and there’s a price to moving those contracts. Just another way Olshey fucked this franchise over.

To say that Lillard doesn't care about winning and only about money is fucking insulting.

Look at this shit sly! Whose our headliner we got from Cj, Norman Powell, Roco, and Larry Nance?

Josh Fucking Hart?! We didn’t even get a boatload of picks for them. And please don’t tell me “well we freed up some money” because we all know we never make free agent splashy free agent signings.

Is the goal of this trade season to make Nurk feel like he's on Lilliput. This shit is ridiculous and if the trade gets finalized these guys can only be sent out in one for one deals before Thursday.

Blazers will waive Satoransky and Louzada

Is this some sick gamble to see if New Orleans doesn’t make the playoffs (they’re in the play in at the moment), after trading them two win now pieces??

Are those who thought he ws basically an all-star and his contract wasn't that bad, surprised how little we got in return?
I don't know, but i think those of us who weren't sure if he was a net positive for the team are pleased with reports of what we may be getting.

Which is why I asked the question to those who were saying CJ was a near all-star and didn't have a bad contract. Those we two things I was disputing for a few years.

It appears you don't fall in that camp because you don't think his contract was an assest in this trade, it was the opposite.

Given the pay increase expected for Ant this summer, I won't be surprised to see him and Nurk dealt tomorrow for Josh Richardson or some crap like that.

Not disagreeing that the trades are shit but to use shit trades to once again bash Lillard is bullshit. It's weird how you look for any reason to bitch about the guy.

Lillard isn't the one making this trade. There is no connection in your statements.
