I hope nothing for the best for CJ. He is an elite shot creator and shooter. Sure his game has holes but I see no reason why he can't average 25-5-5 as a Pel.

Sheesh tough night so far, he's short on every shot.

5/16 12 pts, 4 rebs, 4 asts in 25 mins. But a team low -15.

He's also taken 6 more shots than the next guy on his team.

if the Pels get about 60% MeJ and 40% CJ, the Blazers have a much better chance at that 1st

CJ coming in and immediately getting so many more shots that other Pels won't sit well with his new teammates if he's chucking and bricking

Good old MeJ. Never one to read the room.

MeJ with 6 more shots than the 2nd highest Pelican, while bricking up a storm. Poor Valanciunas only got 8 shots but hit 6 of them.

All too familiar....and thank you CJ. Help us get the Lottery pick.

I look at the Pelicans roster and I wonder who's going to take shots for them. Ingram's good, but he lacks assertiveness. Tonight, Jose Alvarado, who I think is a 10-day contract guy from Georgia Tech looked like their best perimeter offensive player.

They have one guy opponents really need to respect. In a lot of ways, they are the Blazers (before all the injuries this year).

They either need Zion to make a miraculous comeback or they need to run a lot of pick and roll with Ingram and Valeciunas.

Or the fans when they see his salary.

Alvarado was 7 of 12 and I was shocked when they took him out of the game.

Bobby Marks (on the Lowe post) said the Pels waived all physicals for CJ, and this allowed us to move NAW immediately. He said it's stunning for a team to do this for a 30 yr old coming off a serious injury with 60+ mil left.

He thinks Cronin could have made this a condition of the deal.

Wow that is crazy.

I assume there could be major penalty if Cronin or the Blazers team had any injury history they withheld. Maybe CJ had an extensive recent physical and that was all shared.

But yes that is crazy.

CJ should be playing point guard. It’s the only way.
