No, your ability to do drugs and sleep with your sister.

Pssssssssst, that wasn't my sister. It was yours. She wasn't half bad, but it annoyed the hell out of me the way she whispered your name.

If I didnt have kids, I'd go with a condo in the city.
Wife + kids + dog = house in the suburbs.

its easier to bring back girls from the bar if you're close by and can cab or walk it vs. driving drunk to the middle of no where and she falls asleep in the car (or waking your parents up as you sneak her into the basement). :MARIS61:

then again, you can have swingers parties at your house in the burbs.

Since when did the giant trailer park that is Vancouver become "the burbs"?

Not me. I work in this hell hole, couldn't imagine living in it. I'm speaking downtown specifically. I'd move back to NE, but they've priced a brotha outta that area. Guess I'm stuck in my trailer in the 'Couv for now.

Trailer trash.

If this lockout last long, I'll probably be living in the trashy suburbs of said trailer park!

I think we're considered more Beaumont then Alameda. Grew up on 23rd and Mason. You?

Is that considered Beaumont? I guess if that is the case, I would be Beaumont too. I grew up on 32nd and Shaver.

You know the the big white house that took up the whole block on Shaver and Regents? That was my girlfriends house back in the day. Basically lived there for a year or so after HS.

Yup, born and raised in NEP. Went to Sabin, Alameda, Beaumont and Grant. Yeah, I know the house. It's a block away from my parents. I never knew anyone who lived there though. But, there would have been an age gap between your GF and me (I went to school with Adam). I was probably pretty young when you were there.

I already live in an affluent suburb, and would pick that because of my kids. Once they are gone, there is no reason not to want a condo. I think my wife and I are going to retire in Panama, and live like royalty in a few years. Our goal is 10 years.

My wife and I just moved out of a highrise in downtown San Diego. It was brand new when we moved in last year, but it just wasn't a great fit for us. Too blah. White walls, white carpet. Basically no character. We are still downtown, but in a loft/studio and it is a much better fit. So, while a nice, new condo might not be our style, I don't think we'll ever move out of the city. Down here, we'll stay downtown, but if we moved back to Seattle or Portland, we'd probably end up outside of downtown, but in a neighborhood within the city, like Mississippi/Irvington/Alberta in Portland or Capitol Hill/Fremont in Seattle. We try and drive as little as possible so neighborhoods that are walkable are perfect for us. We bought a car last August and have only put 3,000 miles on it. This is living in Southern California and including 3 or 4 trips up to LA.

The burbs, regardless if they are affluent or not, just give off a different vibe. It's a good fit for some people, but not others.

That's right man, I forgot we talked about that a looooong time ago. Just a reminder to everybody that Mr. Pork here is part of my posse'........ tread lightly.

Zags, you were a Columbia Villa Crip huh?

Fo shiggity.

Nah, not really, but lived a few blocks away on Fiske St. when I was real young. Could hear sirens at a distance at all times. Drove throught the villa the other day, its night and day from what it used to be.

House is one of the best shows on television imo.
