China is lying, but they also put in basically draconian laws concerning movement and taking people off the street. Used an app to restrict people from making any movements. Red light/green light shit.

We had people playing soccer last weekend while they are supposed to be on lockdown.

Should we do it Wuhan style then? Force people into steel boxes in the back of trucks and cart them off if they don't stay in...execute them out of sight and dump them in mass graves, then lie about the numbers?

I think your news isn't correct, or at least not telling the whole story. I saw the stuff about chloroquine as a possible cure from Japan back in february. They were starting trial tests for it then.
I don't have a ton of time to look it up, but here's a quick link from mid-february.

It might be? lol. Maybe they made the article said it was from Japan, I have no idea...

I just remember seeing stuff pop up throughout the month of February about Japan was setting up trials for a few of different drugs and this one was one of them they said was having positive results. - They noted the trial testing was in small sample sizes in the article I was looking out over a month ago now.

Nobody said the current status in the US is good. Just saying that the idea that China didn't actually have more is laughable.

IMO, the really interesting case will be India. If their numbers end up better than the US's (and I won't have any reason to doubt their legitimacy), that will be the true indictment of the US's system and response.

It's like saying that there are cures for cancer so all people who are promoting cures for cancer are legit.

Why do you even need another country's response?

We had more time to control the spread than any western country. We had more time to build the infrastructure to address the unmet medical needs. We have more $ and resources than any other developed country. The realities we are seeing today in our hospitals are enough to tell me this admin has blood on its hands.

More than a thousand people have died from this here over the past week or so. More than a third of 9/11 and almost a half of Pearl Harbor.

I am really curious to see if this asshole will show one ounce of compassion and offer condolences to those who have died. How much do you want to bet he will bring up the economy before he brings up those who perished in his PC today?

Yes, but that article you posted isn't being fair (so what else is new in these days). That guy that's referenced has zero credibility, but there are credible sources who are supporting the drug's use. They seem to relate back to a French biologist's report on them:

“Here is the thing about those drugs: There is may and actually does,” Adams noted. “These may be promising. So we are trying to make them as available as possible to people across the country. We need to verify through studies that they actually work.”

“But I also, again, want to go back to the fact that it’s not practical to think we are going to treat our way out of this problem with new drugs or with ventilators or with supplies,” he continued. “We need to lower demand. We need more people talking about staying at home.”

Trump is being very reckless in touting this drug as some panacea that's going to resolve COVID-19, but we can't let hatred of Trump support the use of other propaganda that's just intended to make him look worse than he is. There are studies underway in the US, France, and elsewhere that will tell us in a month or so whether there's anything to it, but in the meantime we can only do what they're telling us to slow the spread through isolation and social distancing.

I'm not here to defend slipshod reporting by Fox. Just saying that the piece you posted is crap in that it tries to make it look like there's absolutely nothing behind the drug other than that dipstick. Political propaganda by both sides isn't helpful.
