No, and im pissed about it. They still haven't tested her. She is supposedly a low risk and no reason to test. I just got off thew phone with their corporate in FL and When I responded.. "Isnt being locked up with positive people reason enough to test anyone else in the building???" and they said they are testing based on government advice and limited test kits....

this is right in Newburg, FYI

If she is low risk then she should be allowed to leave. I would go there in person and demand that they bring her out to you. If they don't go to the police station and politely ask for their help. If there is no order from the governor, mayor, or police saying she has to remain there then they need to release her.

If you can, when you show up there call your mother and ask her to come out to you. If they physically prevent her from leaving that is considered kidnapping.

I disagree. I think you need to find out what company does their laundry, hide in a laundry cart as it is being delivered to the home, wait until dark, neutralize the staff, then set free all the inmates and drive away with your mom. Meanwhile, across town I'll be tunneling into the bank while the police are distracted by the free-range elderly on the streets of Newburg.

I believe the state has mandated a lockdown/quarantine on any retirement community with a positive. I'm still trying to find the facts on it, which as sooo hard to find the actual truth.
But, I agree and wanted to get her out before they got thier first positive and went into lockdown. They need to test everyone in the building and get those who are negative out asap, or move those who test positive asap. I'm not sure which is the best, but keeping people locked up with positives and not testing some seems almost criminal!

What's the big deal? 99% of them will live and be back on the job bright eyed and bushy tailed in 3 to 4 weeks. Besides, come April 12, the magic day, this will all be over and we can all go back to work. Looks like I've horded all this toilet paper for nothing. Oh, the other 1%? Meh, who cares.

...which store and what are examples of this? I think 15% increase from fair market is max allowed under price gouging laws. :dunno:

Safeway

For instance

A bag of grapes was $7

A jug of orange juice was $7

"based on government advice"...oh, that's reassuring.

"That government which governs least, governs best".
