Rightists now call Covid freedom flu. Literally saying don't be vaccinated, get freedom flu.

middle grounders like us are being pulled by both sides and are being demanded to join one side or the other.

how about some of the radicals on each side take a step towards the middle instead of trying to force everyone to their extremes???
Its common sense that if we want to remain a republic for the good of the people politicians need to compromise and find some common ground for bi partisan achievements. Give and take is essential to make progress where there is impasse.
Im so ready for term limits and ridding congress of bought off politicians from that want to make a career of serving lobbyist.

crazy...I have a daughter in the medical field who has been against the vaccine, well, she just informed us that she got her first shot. Great news!
She listen to her doctor, a few friends and I like to think her parents.

oh she's a independent moderate if that makes a difference.

I used to have a Blue Tic Hound dog that would chew up bottle caps and spit them out as me and my buds would be playing poker drinking beer. When someone opened a beer Web would be immediately begging for the cap.
Bet you cant do that....

I can do the drink beer and play poker part.

Term limits and campaign finance reform. Ridding it of all soft money. Contribution limits, etc.

We will never get anything done until we get campaign financing reformed.

And that will never happen until our leaders learn to compromise.
Baby steps. Radical, hasty change is a recipe for chaos.

Dr. Sanjay Gupta: Why Joe Rogan and I sat down and talked -- for more than 3 hours

"The free will of your fist ends where my nose begins. When I said this to Joe, the MMA fighter, he paused, sat back and listened for a while. I asked him: Is it not possible to advocate strongly for personal freedoms, but also recognize the unique threat a highly contagious disease represents?"

--------------------
"For example: Even as he sometimes railed against masks, "The Joe Rogan Experience" masks emblazoned with his logo are available for sale on his website. I even bought one ahead of time and gave it to him as a gift. He looked surprised. (Incidentally, they are made in China.)"

--------------------
"Some studies have shown between 30 and 40 percent of people who have recovered from Covid did not have detectable neutralizing antibodies at all. That probably explains why a recent study showed that unvaccinated people who already had Covid were more than twice as likely to get reinfected as those who had also been vaccinated.

I told Joe that even in the study from Israel, the authors concluded with the recommendation that people who had recovered from Covid still get a vaccine. And when Joe pushed hard on the risk of myocarditis in kids who receive the vaccine, especially young boys, I countered back equally hard that the risk of myocarditis has been shown to be much higher for infected children under 16 years old compared to their uninfected peers. Those numbers dwarf the risk of myocarditis in kids who receive the vaccine (and, to be sure, most cases of myocarditis can be treated without hospitalization). For me, the risk-benefit analysis is clear: Vaccination is safer than infection.

I guess a small part of me thought I might change Joe Rogan's mind about vaccines. After this last exchange, I realized it was probably futile. His mind was made up, and there would always be plenty of misinformation out there neatly packaged to support his convictions. Truth is though, I am still glad I did it. My three-hour-long conversation wasn't just with Rogan. If just a few of his listeners were convinced, it will have been well worth it."

Did CNN say Rogan took horse dewormer to treat Covid-19? Was he given a prescription for Ivermectin to treat covid-19?

All I can find are his claims that CNN said that, but not the actual statement or video.

You can find it on YouTube straight from CNNs channel, the video is still up with the headline “Joe Rogan has Covid, praises horse dewormer ivermectin”

He says he had a prescription for ivermectin (for humans) from a doctor.

It’s pretty straightforward dishonest reporting.

Here is what I can find. This all looks accurate.

He does praise ivermectin, the CDC has said there is no evidence ivermectin works on covid-19, and it is most often used as a horse dewormer. And people were overdosing on it because they were actually buying horse dewormer.

What part of this is dishonest?

This sounds like them educating people to seek medical advice rather than buying horse dewormer because they heard Joe Rogan used ivermectin.

He never praised horse dewormer, as the headline suggests. He was given a medicine for humans, in a human dosage, for a human disease, prescribed by a human doctor and not a veterinarian. Why is it so hard to fathom a medicine having more than one application? My dog was prescribed amoxicillin after surgery, the same drug I was prescribed after wisdom teeth extraction.

yOU aRe TaKiNg DoG mEdicInE!!!!!

If you are willing to go to these lengths to try and legitimize such poor and dishonest journalism, we aren’t going to see eye to eye. I honestly think you are smarter than this and are just playing some type of devils advocate role here for the sake of debate. I’m ducking out of this discussion.

Why did you and your dog have your wisdom teeth removed together?

Yes he did.
American comedian, podcast host and UFC commentator Joe Rogan recently claimed the public is turning a cold shoulder to ivermectin’s potential role in the pandemic during his June 22 episode on “The Joe Rogan Experience.”

One of his guests, Dr. Pierre Kory, introduced as an intensive care unit and lung specialist, said his “dream is that every household has ivermectin in their cupboard. And you take it upon development of first symptom of anything approximating a viral symptom ... even if it’s not COVID, it’s safe to take it and it’s probably effective against that virus.”

They made the distinction to encourage people to seek medical advice rather than heading to the feed store to buy horse dewormer, because people were actually dumb enough to do exactly that and as a result were overdosing.

It would have been dishonest of them not to bring it up. And yes, we all know CNN and FOX, and ONN, and every other news platform makes their headlines for clickbait.

You didn’t post anything to prove your point here. Amazing how two people given the same information can literally live in two different realities.
