Most of the responses I get here boil down to little passive aggressive quips like this^^
Great substitutes for a lack of discussion (not really).

You didn’t post anything to prove your point here. Amazing how two people given the same information can literally live in two different realities.
He had a doctor on air extolling the virtues of ivermectin as a treatment for Covid-19.

CNN pointed out that while ivermectin is in some horse dewormer, and Joe Rogan publicly said he's taking ivermectin, the CDC does not recommend you use it as a treatment for Covid-19, as there no evidence to support its use. And further, you shouldn't use horse dewormer...

CNN did not say Joe Rogan was taking horse dewormer.

You've already flatly admitted that you ignore facts that contradict you, so what' the point? It's great you're so passionate about Joe Rogan, that's really the most important issue at the moment.

Not passive aggressive at all. It's ironic. And if you claim it as passive-aggressive and then do same, that's hypocritical of you.

Your posts are moronic, full of irony, and have already been caught in a lie.

"Joe Rogan Announces he has Covid; Praises Horse Dewormer Ivermectin", is a straight lie. Joe did not praise a horse dewormer. He praised a drug prescribed to him by a physician. I listened to the podcast and he was absolutely correct in his assertions about the media: How can one trust them if they are willing to lie as in his case?

They literally explained that in the video. They said it IS prescribed to people for parasites, in very small doses, but it is not approved by the CDC to be prescribed for Covid-19 at all. It does not work. Every study has shown no impact, which they listed. So the sode effects of even low doses is not worth the risk.

Further explaining that in doses which you would receive for livestock it would be incredibly dangerous.

This is why Joe can't actually sue them and why they haven't printed a retraction. They didn't lie. It was a clickbait headline, but it was not a lie.

Otherwise he would already have his lawsuit in.

I hate clickbait as much as anybody, but this is certainly no more illegal than any other media, and far less so than fox does every day.

I understand the question and agree. But why do people choose to believe all the other lies out there? There are lies or inaccuracies coming from multiple angles, yet many are choosing to accept the more likely truths than the less truths in numerous instances (I’m talking a bunch of instances and generalities, not just this particular case with Rogan).

And I’m not opening an argument. I’m simply wondering why people choose to believe what they believe, even if evidence favors more one way or the other?

Well put.
The way I do it is to research the extraordinary claims and find out what experts and professionals in the field think.

I know that Rogan isn't a 24 hour news station, but I think someone who has millions of listeners has a responsibility too if he's going to talk seriously about Covid treatments during a pandemic. He's said young healthy people (his primary audience) don't need to get vaccinated. He's pushing a drug - that the CDC and many studies have shown doesn't treat Covid - as an alternative to getting vaccinated. Those are "straight lies", does he get a free pass from you?

Yes he does, based on the first half of your first sentence.

Wow I totally disagree. Perpetuating false information regarding a public health crisis is not okay regardless of whether you're a news network or a podcast that reaches several million people.

I say so.

He never praised horse dewormer, as the headline suggests. He was given a medicine for humans, in a human dosage, for a human disease, prescribed by a human doctor and not a veterinarian. Why is it so hard to fathom a medicine having more than one application? My dog was prescribed amoxicillin after surgery, the same drug I was prescribed after wisdom teeth extraction.

yOU aRe TaKiNg DoG mEdicInE!!!!!

If you are willing to go to these lengths to try and legitimize such poor and dishonest journalism, we aren’t going to see eye to eye. I honestly think you are smarter than this and are just playing some type of devils advocate role here for the sake of debate. I’m ducking out of this discussion.
Where’s that pot/kettle meme when you need it

The Joe Rogan defenders repeatedly saying “how can you dare defend lying media!?” As they flip over to Fox and Joe Rogan is riiiiiich

Joe Rogan isn’t news, he doesn’t claim to be a journalistic source. CNN does. And I don’t think anyone here takes Fox News seriously, I sure as fuck don’t anyway. I do however find them do be equally shitty to CNN and MSNBC, outlets many people on here cite often and unironically. And my ‘defense of Joe Rogan’ is not that as much as it is a criticism of CNN. Your second grade deduction of my statements into “You love Joe Rogan and Fox News!” is really just stupid and lazy.

I said media. Never said news. Joe Rogan isn’t part of the media? Before you start hurling little insults might want to figure out what you’re talking about. Speaking of second grade deductions and laziness and stupid and all.

If people choose to exclude themselves, that's on them. Not even comparable to underage person not getting into bar. The young person didn't make a choice and in time will be able to enter legally. The unvaxed person is more like someone trying to enter a restaurant barefoot.
