Thanks she is extremely stressed. I feel bad because I'm here working from home and taking the dogs for walks and enjoying the sunshine. I'm trying to do all the cleaning and cooking so she can just chill when she gets home.

Yes, the stats we’re seeing here look far better than the ones released by the W.H.O., but they reflect our current readily available ICU and emergency care system. Nobody can say with any certainty what the actual stats are since there hasn’t been anywhere near enough testing. The fact remains that if our medical system gets overwhelmed, people who would otherwise receive needed treatment, won’t be able to get it and many will unnecessarily die.

I would think they would determine which ones are critical & those that are not. There are many that will go to the emergency that should just stay home.
My buds wife is head nurse at a hospital in odd and it’s always many that shouldn’t be there.

It’s for identification purposes. Nobody is stopping anyone from transitioning or being referred to as whatever they want in a casual setting. People are referred to as their birth sex in a legal setting for identification purposes. It’s not nearly nefarious as you’re making it out to be.

The US Healthcare system is shit by the way.

Anytime you go into an ER or an Urgent Care center or hospital, you can see its painfully obvious. From the incompetent people at the front, to long waits, doctor errors and what not.

We are basically deluding ourselves that we are an advanced society. Its only a small population that have access to the best technology.

Really need to move more technology into healthcare. Telemedicine, computers making decisions, etc.

That is a misleading graph, since the number dying per day from Covid-19 is rapidly increasing. 475 dead today in Italy alone.

And even if this crisis was over, I'm not sure deaths per day would be a meaningful statistic for a pandemic.
If a pandemic lasts 6 months and kills 50 people a day, is that twice as bad as a pandemic that lasts a year and kills 25 a day?

Yep. US just rocketed past S. Korea and France, into 6th place worldwide for number of cases. We were in 8th place (barely in the playoffs) for the last week or two. Now with a bit of a win streak we can get home court advantage. Need Germany and Spain to cool off a bit.

My wife went to the Tigard one this morning. No toilet paper. She was able to score some paper towels and clorox wipes so she got her booty and left. This has got to be a scene from a science fiction movie where WWIII happened and civilization has fallen apart.
One of my wife's friends who knows we both have hay fever and hence a large stockpile of Kleenex, told us that we could use the Kleenex in a pinch as a substitute for toilet paper. Crap, has the world come to that?

I remember in the army this asshole said they should beat the shit out of these two pathetic guys. I asked why they didn't leave them alone and this one mean ass dude says they could do the same to me. I lost my cool and said if he tried I'd take my entrenching tool and chop off his hand. He immediately turned away and never uttered another word to me and left these two pathetic characters alone. I say this because I pity the guy who steals out of my cart.
