I'm in sales. I'll have to admit, I stereotype Asians. Oh, and East Indians, as well. Oh, and Arabs, as well.
You do know that my wife is Asian, don't you?

The HIV epidemic in Indiana subsided following Medicare expansion under the Affordable Care Act.
Are you talking about the act that Pence in all his wisdom opposed prolifically? Yeah, what a brilliant idea, let's put Pence in charge.

Coronavirus outbreak is 52 TIMES worse in one Chinese province than officials admit as local authorities seek to hide the true number of people infected, report claims
  • Daily figure in Shandong has been up to 52 times the official toll, it is said
  • Shocking finding was revealed to a US-based newspaper by local officials
  • Comes after a worrying outbreak was detected inside a prison in the area
  • Mike Pompeo yesterday accused China of covering up the epidemic scale
  • The virus has killed at least 2,771 people and infected over 81,400 globally

Yes, Lanny. I know. We have a lot of Asian friends....most of them are Cambodian. My wife has been there two times. I'm planning to go with her, probably next year. For the record, when I use the term, "stereotype", I'm speaking of cultural differences, and not discrimination in any way. I certainly hope we can discuss - even celebrate - those without being classified as racist, or otherwise.

Japanese prime minister orders the closure of ALL schools in the country for a month in a bid to halt the spread of coronavirus
  • Shinzo Abe said the 'health and safety of children' was most important concern
  • At least 186 people in Japan have contracted the virus and four people have died

That would cripple this country if we were to do something like this. No way parents could afford daycare (if it would be even available) or to take that much time off from work.

Don't worry this guy has it under control.

Trump was shocked that people die from flu. Lots of people. Which makes him the only American over age 10 who didn't know that.

Actually, I think he was more surprised/shocked by the number of US flu-related deaths each year (upwards of 70,000) than anything else.

Actually Im thinking it will bounce at quickly as buyers will be all over it when things improve, which they will.

Dow plunges 10% from peak and enters correction territory after tumbling another 800 points as coronavirus fears fuel the worst week on Wall Street since the Great Recession
  • US stock indexes opened sharply lower on Thursday as selloff continues
  • Follows report of first US community transmission of coronavirus in California
  • Markets have now entered correction territory, or declines of more than 10%
  • Netflix and other 'stay at home' companies saw shares rise, however

14 PER CENT of coronavirus patients tested positive a SECOND time in one Chinese region, health official admits
  • Patients in Guangdong Province were struck again after being given all clear
  • It comes after a 40-year-old woman in Japan was diagnosed a second time
  • Experts say the virus may be 'persistent' infection that can lie dormant in people

Dow has rebounded since this morning's lows...but it's safe to say that the virus will have a global effect on the markets/economy.

That depends on how long this virus takes to play out across the planet. China is much of the worlds supply line, and they have slowed manufacturing over this outbreak. There will be a recession at some point, how big it will be all depends on how long it takes to get these supply lines up and running again, as well as getting the workers, who will use them down the supply lines, back to work.

I am hoping that the worlds first pandemic will wake people up to how fragile our world truly is.

Wow, Dow Jones down almost 11% in the last week...gotta believe that online shopping will sky rocket.
