OT Coronavirus: America in chaos, News and Updates. One million Americans dead and counting

Well, to be fair, ya gotta admit that if someone tries hard enough to support their assertion/stance/opinion, yadda yadda yadda, cyberspace will provide them with ammunition regardless of merit or factual basis...which is one reason why I shun social media...there's no accountability for making incorrect/unsubstantiated claims.

OMG, where was this rationality when I tried to have constructive conversations with you? See?? I knew better than to think you the same as some others. :)

Reading pathetic attempts to justify Trump conduct reminds me of a Shakespeare sonnet where an unhappy lover says:

If my love swears she tells the truth
I will believe her, although I know she is made of lies

Absolutely thank the Trump Administration’s IRS. Yep. As for Congress... Well, definitely thank them for passing the monumental bill. I’m a little upset on the feet dragging.

trump's IRS? lmfao!

The only feet dragging was cleaning up that horrendous bill that Moscow Mitch tried to shove through. Imagine if it would have pssed. As for trumps part? little to no say as there were plenty of votes to override a veto so it was going to pass with or without trump.

Yeah, when you “retweet” something, it’s coming from someone else. Lol

when you retweet something with no further explanation or disclaimer then you are essentially endorsing it. Otherwise why retweet it? I would never retweet something I don't believe in without any explanation. Would you?

The difference being that with Trump it's all his fault.

But if you'd like to spin it, go ahead and be wrong. With trump, he brought it on all himself because the attacks of him are true and based off of fact and precedence he alone set.. The only ones who believe him are the ones that are wrong.

And dont try to argue it, I already know I'm right. No need to reply, I already know Trump is the worst president we have ever had. You will never change the fact that I am right. Not because im bullheaded, just because i'm not brainwashed.
Did you copy this from a Mueller thread? I swear I've read this almost exact thing here before. It was deja vu

Yes, Trump’s IRS. You do understand they are part of the executive branch right?

“The Internal Revenue Service is the revenue service of the United States federal government. The government agency is a bureau of the Department of the Treasury, and is under the immediate direction of the Commissioner of Internal Revenue, who is appointed to a five-year term by the President of the United States. The IRS is responsible for collecting taxes and administering the Internal Revenue Code, the main body of federal statutory tax law of the United States. The duties of the IRS include providing tax assistance to taxpayers and pursuing and resolving instances of erroneous or fraudulent tax filings. The IRS has also overseen various benefits programs, and enforces portions of the Affordable Care Act”

And what does that have anything to do with my comment. Maybe read back on what I was responding to.

The IRS has been around a lot longer than trump and I doubt the commisioner he appointed has much to do with getting the checks out quickly. That's for internal people who have likely been there before trump. You're sounding as bad as your boy who always takes credit for anything good, even if it was Obama but passes the blame onto others when things aren't good.

Some interesting reading. I'm sure the trumpers will spin it.

Pretty funny the day he declares a national emergency he is on stage with a large gathering and shaking hands right and left. So much for social distancing, lol.

Maybe my trolling on cup’s troll was a little too subtle...

Just learned the president thinks he has total authority

All hail King Drumpf
Wait a few days for the official statement, but I suspect this power the Congress gave to the executive branch has something to do with it. Probably why you aren’t hearing governors speaking out.

If that’s the case, it’s actually pretty fucking scary congress gave that much power to one individual.

A pork processing plant in Sioux Falls SD shut down after more than 300 workers tested positive. They worked in close quarters without safety gear. South Dakota has no shutdown order. The mayor of Sioux Falls asked the governor to declare one. She said it's unnecessary. However the state is using state funds for a clinical trial of Trump's pet "cure" despite the fact that another clinical trial was just ended due to severe side effects. But doing what Trump wants takes precedence over public health and fiscal responsibility.

Easy... To post the statement is incorrect.

sorry Ralph. Time to check out.

saw this on oregonlive, a nice story in all of this
https://www.oregonlive.com/teamoreg...ree-grocery-delivery-service-for-seniors.html

Some Roosevelt High School students with serious technological chops and a desire to help others have created a free grocery home delivery service for senior citizens nervous to venture to the store because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Roosevelt junior Terren Gurule was brainstorming with classmate Miguel O’Loughlin when they hit on the idea of creating a call center for seniors and people who can’t shop because of underlying health concerns.

“We wanted to do something beneficial to help the community,” Gurule said.

Both students belong to the Community Betterment via Engineering and Technology (CBET) Club, which has set up the call center and is taking calls between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.

The CBET Club partnered with Roosevelt’s Key Club, which will deliver to homes in North Portland within 72 hours of an order being placed. Spanish speakers are available to take calls.

People wishing to use the service will pay by credit card. The students will process it through the Square mobile payment service, which means those using the service don’t have to decipher a website.

Key Club members wearing masks and gloves will make no-contact deliveries.
