He's seriously correct.Uhh no. Its travel time and deployment. It is absolutely relevant. And I did that a month ago. You must have missed it. It showed no real pattern. Some countries got hit hard with the same population and some countries didnt... employing the same methods.
This is nothing like electoral college... you cant be serious with that comparison.
I went to Home Depot yesterday and it was as busy as I’ve ever seen it.It does seem a bit ironic that people can't or aren't allowed to work due to social distancing requirements for the virus but massive crowds can gather for protests.
He's seriously correct.
The most cases of Covid-19 occur in the most densely populated areas. Now, let's look at some densely populated countries like South Korea and Japan who seem to have handled it a lot better than we have. Can you think of any other examples of densely populated regions who have handled it better than us?

They're all the age where intelligence is an issue.
1. I don't see where your map and chart have any real bearing;@Lanny
Here is another angle that shows it should make it much harder for us to contain than say, Japan:
How can one expect to contain the USA the same as Japan?
NM. I don't think stats will help win my argument because Ive seen how set in their ways some are, but geographics absolutely impact the ability to contain.
Simple analogy. Can you contain the swell of the ocean the same as the swell of water in your bathtub?

1. I don't see where your map and chart have any real bearing;
2. I think the argument about some being set in their ways could be more appropriately applied the other way.
As for Japan, Tokyo compares very well with New York city.
In fact, all the listed cities of Japan compare with cities in the U.S. So?
I can see that this discussion is now fruitless. The maps don't detail the miles. To go from the northern tip of Japan to the southern is like going from Oregon to southern Cali. That small land mass makes it much easier to deploy, segregate and contain something.
Its about travel and the distance required to travel.
I'm saying we can agree to disagree. All good. I just believe that miles take time(facts, 60MPH) and so the more miles to cover and the more miles people go to travel on vacations, etc, makes it harder to control.
To me that seems logical. To others it may not, but until they provide logical reasons why, instead of "this sounds like electoral college stuff" then I will have to maintain my stance.
I have brought to the table the reasons I think this and no one has countered with anything other than... these countries were able to do so...
I provided reasons why I think they were and we weren't and instead of being rebutted with more info, its ... my logic is wrong. lol. So that stubbornness comment you said could be flipped, I don't agree with in this case... and many cases on this forum.
I can see that this discussion is now fruitless.
I had terrific luck with some Concord grape vines. I had rocky soil that consisted largely of clay. It was trampled by tractors for decades and I took a pick ax and dug out a hole for my grapes. The flourished. We had more Concord grapes than we knew what to do with. Oh, and they were sweet and delicious. Also planted some red flame grapes that never developed and some cabernet sauvignon grapes that were just so so, so that soil seems suited just for Concords.Much like my damn grape vines!
I have tons of baby grapes. .
Trump says U.S. has 2 million coronavirus vaccine doses ‘ready to go’
President Donald Trump said Friday that the U.S. has already produced 2 million coronavirus vaccine doses that are “ready to go” once scientists figure out whether it is safe and effective.
“Tremendous progress is being made on vaccines,” Trump said during a Friday morning news conference from the White House. “In fact, we’re ready to go in terms of transportation and logistics. We have over 2 million ready to go if it checks out for safety.”
White House health advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci, who is involved in U.S. effort to produce a vaccine, declined to comment on Trump’s comments later Friday, saying, “I didn’t hear him say that.”
A White House spokesman referred calls to the Department of Health and Human Services, which redirected calls back to the White House. Neither of them had an immediate answer to Trump’s comments.
Trump also said “we’re doing incredibly well” on vaccines, adding, “I think you’re going to have some very positive surprises and therapeutics likewise we’re doing extremely well. Cures, we’re doing well.”
