OT COVID19: Who to Blame?

Welcome to our community

Nobody is talking about you. It's people who cluster in large groups that are the problem.
You? I doubt you have it in you to do anything wrong.
You are the kind of beach goer that beach towns that depend on tourists want.

IDK I didn't spend a dime and I was out of there in under an hour.
Didn't visit any tourist shop, nor interact with anyone. Outside of telling an old man to keep his little yippy ankle biter dog away from mine.
I'm just pretty depressed this past week and hate sweeping generalizations.

You don't have to spend money to help them. Just presenting an example of the behavior of a responsible visitor helps them.

People were asked to stay home, they didn't listen.
The governor allowed them to get outdoors as long as they didn't congregate. Did they rescind that without consulting with me first?

That Trump one is pretty good though too.

Whatever the heck that news conference was on Friday night though; that was the most unclear crazy talk Id had about ever heard... Stay home, but dont! Its serious, Stay home, kinda!
Walk your pets? go skateboarding?

I was one of those people.
Because I knew a family member of mine would enjoy one last beach trip.
It would bring out their little self one last time.
Fuck anyone who judges me for that.
And other people could potentially die because of that decision, so fuck yeah I'm going to judge anyone who did it.

Only the worst kind of people say shit like you just did.
I hope away from the keyboard you're a good person.

Put yourself in my shoes.

If your child was dying and had a week to live in the best case scenario.
If they wanted to go to the beach you'd tell them. ''Nope we're on lockdown sorry son''.

Fucking suck a big one kid.

Only God can judge me. You're a nobody.

What I did is no different than going to the mailbox or walking out to my car.

It's people like you, and comments like yours that have turned this community of blazer fans into one of the most hostile websites i've ever been apart of. Frankly I'm done with it. No longer will I be apart of such a cesspool that rivals the current administration.

If you're saying what I think you're saying I won't pretend to know what to say other than you're making me tear up and I'm so sorry.

Claims are being made of 21,000,000 deaths covered up by China. :dunno:

Not for nothing, but you could have easily made your reasons for going to the beach in your first post in this thread, which probably would have caused less confusion and discord.

I'm not at all saying that your reasoning was not justified, but your first post about your beach trip was kinda vague and I can understand why some people took it the wrong way before you began explaining yourself.

Just saying...but regardless, I hope things improve in your world as well as everyone else's who's affected by the virus calamity.

Senator Chris Coons said the Republicans drafted their bill, gave it to lobbyists to mark up, and lobbyists, not Republican leadership, then gave bill to Democrats. They were supposed to spend three days negotiating, but Monday Moscow Mitch introduced the exact same bill.

When asked about $500 billion to be handed out with no oversight and no need to even report where the money is going, Trump said he would do oversight. Is there anyone except Maris and maybe ABM who would trust Trump to distribute $500 billion taxpayers dollars? How much would end up in his business, or those of his donors, or going directly to his campaign?

My problem is that HCP made it clear what his reasoning was in going to the beach before people started ragging on him.
I felt his pain because I've gone through it. It's as if you were dying along with your beloved pet. Been there, understand it.

Actually, he didn't make it clear with his very first post and said nothing about his reason for going...his first comment was vague and that's all I'm referring to.

This was his first post;

"You know there are other reasons for people to go to the beach than just ''to party''. Maybe someone had a good reason. I certainly did Saturday."

I'm not saying that he should not have gone to the beach, not at all...I'm just saying that he could have just come out and said what his reason was...and thus likely preventing the confusion that ensued.

I am sorry to hear your dog is not doing so well. I am guessing that is the family member you are mentioning without really saying it.

Hope you and your little buddy had fun at the beach while you could. I have fond memories of going to the beach with my dog George. He would always crack me up with his barks at the crashing waves and running through the sand dunes. Good memories.

From some fly-by-night medical center called Johns Hopkins: Now who should we believe? Johns Hopikins or Rachel Maddow and Chuck Shumer?

"The United States was ranked the best-prepared country in the world to handle a pandemic in late 2019 by the Nuclear Threat Initiative (NTI) and the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security (JHCHS) -- an assessment seemingly at odds with claims by Democrats that the Trump administration left the country vulnerable to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak."

Well, it's been proven over and over again that we can't believe trump.Preparedness is only one part of the equation but the most important part is the response time and that's where this administration has failed led by trump and his "it will just go away in a short time".

^^^^Yes, but that isn't what the previous post was referring to. But then, you knew that.

Yeah, I remember that post but then he explained in a not too much later post. I could see what was going on for him so I'll presume others could as well.

One minor correction, Trump was given 6 months to report how the $500 Billion was spent. Of course, by then it's too late to take it back when it's spent in paying back companies that helped Trump politically. Basically it was "Here's a few bucks, Trump, $500 Billion in few bucks, that you can spend on whatever willy nilly thing pops into your silly little head.

the trump administration has refused to comply with dozens of legitimate subpoenas. There's not any reason at all to believe they would comply with that provision.

I want to see a link for that and judge what it is they are talking about because I have little clue what "best prepared" means in that statement

but obviously, if they are talking about supplies and infrastructure, then the more critical component is a plan to utilize supplies and infrastructure, followed by a competent execution of the plan

the trump administration probably had little to do with inventory. But they were responsible for planning and utilization thru intelligent and timely mobilization...and they have fucked that up every step of the way. If they hadn't, we wouldn't be the worst nation in the industrialized world in terms of testing. Putting people in charge who hate government, don't believe in it's missions, and deny science at every turn is a prescription for the scale of disaster we are likely headed for

to be fair, it looks like most nations have failed the same tests that we have failed. But we could have done better

S. Korea's numbers are considerably better than everyone else's, considering they were among the earliest to be infected.
