Aminu and a 2nd for Jabari Parker

Shabazz, Moe, and Collins or a 1st for Tobias Harris

Dame/MLE player or draft pick
CJ/Pat
Harris/Turner
Parker/Vonleh/Swanigan
Nurk/Davis/Meyers

Milwaukee doesn’t want to pay Parker this offseason and Aminu comes cheap and fits their blueprint.

Detroit has regressed and may want to just hit reset and look for young players and picks. We know they were shopping Drummond and Jackson last deadline. This rides on Detroit continuing to struggle and their interest in Collins or our draft pick.

That’s my best shot at something big yet plausible.

I like both those targets, but I'm pretty sure our side of each deal would probably need to increase, although I wouldn't be willing to include Collins in a Parker deal, simply due to his injury history. Perhaps send Vonleh along with Aminu, and/or take back Dellavadova; maybe send Davis to Detroit as well?

Dame/Delly/Baldwin
CJ/Pat
Harris/Turner/Layman
Parker/Collins/Swanigan
Nurk/Meyers

Our rebounding would certainly suffer, but maybe we'd be able to score again...

I want one of these two scenarios to actually play out;

Aminu, Vonleh, and Ed for Jabari Parker and John Henson. Then we dump Napier and/or Harkless/Leonard to get under the luxury tax.

Or

Harkless and Leonard for Mirotic. Chicago could throw in Felício if they don’t want to take on salary. Then we dump Napier and/or Ed to get under the luxury tax.

Isn’t leonard from Illinois too? Shit this is gonna happen.

I’m just trying to convince myself don’t mind me

"Is this player from our state?"

"No"

"THEN BE GONE!"

That must be how it goes.

I was joking but with Leonard comfort is everything. Playing in front of family would probably do a lot for his psyche.

There’s a good player somewhere in there. Blazers fans wouldn’t be as emotional about him if there wasn’t.

I think it's partly because we see -something-, but I would venture to guess a lot of people have soured on how he carries himself and how his psyche plays him.

Detroit isn't trading Tobias for (for them) would be 2 bench players and a borderline starter.

I wouldn’t be suprised if Detroit wouldn’t take that deal but I’d argue that Collins, Shabazz, and Moe is a better return than Henderson and Vonleh was for Batum. And Batum in 2014 probably had similar value as Harris does this year.

Am I crazy for thinking that Jabari is worth more than people are offering up in this thread?

https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/p/parkeja01.html

He's averaging 20 and 6 on 49% shooting and 36.5% from three. Not bad numbers.

I honestly couldn’t guess Jabari’s value. On one hand he was looking like an absolute stud last year before his injury, but on the other hand that’s now two significant injuries in the same knee, and he’s a pending FA.

I wish a big trade with Orlando. They are about to blow it up. Simmons Fournier and Vucevic for Shabazz, Ed and Harkless.

While I don’t think that trade is anywhere near realistic lol, I do think Orlando would be a good partner. I’d be interested in a lot of their players. Simmons, Fournier, Ross, Hezonja, and if we really wanted to get crazy, a deal centered around CJ and Gordon. Or CJ for their pick and Isaac.

Since I'm seeing some "trade Dame" stuff out there, I guess the crazy trade thread should be revived.

I'm just waiting for the DeAndre Jordan to the Blazers rumors to start up again.

2 different variations with New Orleans.

Cousins for Nurk as the primary swap. Add Napier with control, and Harkless. Leonard could be an ok 3rd big alongside Davis, spreading the floor. Dump Ajinca contract. Swap Rondo for Napier, getting youth, scoring, and control.

Obviously, only way New Orleans does it if it feels uneasy about its playoff chances, and also about its ability to sign Cousins in the offseason. Add 2 RFA in Nurk and Napier they have better control over.
