Aren't you a first generation Asian American? Didn't your parents emigrate and then have children in the states? Just curious but you should buck up to the fact that we're all mostly here by birthright....even the Filipinos and Irish....Chinese are probably the most apolitical people on the planet...food, money, family..fuck anything else...they will lead the world in trade though since Trump is throwing away global trading partners left and right. Birth tourism is dropping off big time....for one thing...it's about 40k for a spot and 40k fine if you get busted...the only reason you see certain groups use this trick is because they have tons of money...most Chinese tourists could never afford it. Birth tourism has dropped off 30 percent in a month from recent articles...and it's not at all exclusive to Chinese...its been going on since 1970...Canadians have probably done this more than any group of people. California is the preferred destination for birth tourism...wars have brought many Asians to the states..especially Vietnamese and Korean....when China took over Hong Kong from Britain..there was another mad dash to the states.....it's not like it's easy to travel across half the world to have a baby

Actually I deleted over 30 posts in the OT section between last night and today. Everyone has been kinda mellow lately and then seemed to have lost their minds this weekend.

Hell, even the "Muslim" travel ban isn't racist...unless it's against Hispanics (Catholic Venezuela), North Koreans (Juche), Aryans (Muslim Iran), Arabs (Yemen, Somalia), Berber (Muslim Libya), North-Central African (Muslim/Catholic Chad). Misguided and not doing what you thought it would do? Maybe. Unpopular home and abroad? Probably can be debated pretty hard either way. Racist? I don't know how you can say that.

He's using undocumented/illegal immigrants as a scare tactic, but was perfectly fine hiring them back in the day. You seem to be fine with paying people lower wages than the going rate for jobs, when in most cases, the people who are willing to work for less than their market share/value, are immigrants, many of them "undocumented/illegal".

And unless I'm wrong, you seem to be against them being in the country.

For full disclosure, the equivalent pay today would be about 13 dollars an hour. I did a quick google search (limited in scope due to the kind of job) and the average salary of those is about 12 bucks an hour in todays market. The current (federal) MW is just around 7.25 bucks an hour. It'd be more depending on which state you live in. Oregon for example would be 10.25.

You seem to want it both ways.
