Current roster a playoff team?

Exactly!! :) (J/K)

I don't think stats are the "end all", at all. I think in both cases, it's OK to look at stats and also consider the specific circumstances under which the players are playing, and to use one's own evaluation, or 'eye test' if you will. If our eyes happen to disagree, that's cool.

IMO, Grandpa Iggy is still more effective and consistent overall than Batum. However, Batum is close, is younger, does some things better and others not as well, and for right now I'll take Batum on the Blazers rather than Iggy, thank you. Feel free to feel differently.

Re Aldridge/Lee: I already gave my take. Lee has the better FG% etc. but I think Aldridge is capable of the same if he were limited to playing closer to the basket, which he is not since his coach seems to prefer the "Dirk" offense. (Brian has written at length about the 'inefficient' shots Aldridge takes.) Again, I prefer Aldridge and his versatility for the Blazers at the moment.

That's my issues with LMA, and that's why I don't hold him in as high regard as others. He's good. Just takes to many 15 foot jump shots for my liking. David Lee is a very good player in this own right and he shouldn't be punished because he plays his roll. In fact he should be rewarded for it. LMA stats suffer you say because he has more of a roll in the offense and has shown he can't handle it.

Batum on the other hand, I'm a big fan of his and for the future I would take him all day over iggy but for our argument is for next year who would you rather have. I take IGGY. He isn't the scorer Batum is (which I've already stated) but as a point forward and lock down defender, he is more valuable than Batum.

Iggy in GSW is going to allow Curry to play off the ball a little more and be lethal along with guarding guys like drose and westbrook.

I expect Denver's record to suffer because Karl's gone. They won a good amount of games without iggy

What, they won all 2 without Iggy?

Iggy came to them last season. What were their records before that?

Christ Denny!

In some alternate reality he was with them last season.

But without them, they lost more games in the strike shortened season than they did this year.

And before, and the year before? Denny you lost. Karl has more to do with their success than iggy.

Three seasons ago, 7 less wins without Iggy.

In actual reality.

Lmao!!!!! Of course man. Of course! The greatest thing about Denny is he takes no account on rookies, development, etc... Just stop while you are far behind

With Iggy, Karl had his most wins since 1998. There were a few rookies on his teams along the way. And Melo among his star players.

Iggy's team leading 2800 minutes surely had something to do with their record. In reality.

But hey, Philly went from 4 games over .500 to 14 games under after losing him.

Lmao Iggy was the third leading scorer, 3rd in rebounding, 3rd in assists and the most turn overs. Yeah Denny; he was pivotal!

Fuck Ty Lawson, faried and gallinari!

What part of "less" confuses you?

Oh I'm confused Denny; just like your feeble attempt to say how much better your pf was to mine. Obviously Iggy not leading in any category on his team wasn't the main reason why they were winning. And since Karl had winning seasons each and every year in Denver doesn't. Lmao

And Magic Johnson was the 3rd or 4th leading scorer on world championship teams. By your measure, he sucked.

Now you're making shit up.

#1 in assists. Second leading scorer btw....

And never said Iggy sucked. You are putting words in my mouth. I said George Karl was more about their success and I smacked you down for your attempt to say Iggy was.

The record says Iggy was good for a ten win improvement. Extrapolated to 82 games, Denver's record would have been 47 wins the year before. Without him. With Karl.

The year before was a shorten season. Stop back peddling. NY went to the finals as an 8th seed in the east. Obviously shorten seasons needs *. Try harder....

You lost your argument many posts ago. You insist on digging the hole you are in deeper.

Iggy is a star. Worth 10 wins to Denver's record.

Shortened season doesn't make you less wrong.

Lmao dude you should really see yourself right now. It's almost as bad as the trade Aldridge for deng and a peanut butter sandwich. Or Aldridge for boozer.

That thread and this have made your sensibility shot to shit

You lost. Now you're making shit up as if that helps you somehow.

Not.

Okay borat. The way you try and justify your arguments are silly. Karl has been an awesome regular season coach. He sucks in the playoffs. Iggy played like shit in the playoffs too; but I'm not blaming him for Denver losing. I blame Karl.

You cherry pick stats to support some delusional argument.

You lost

The number 57 is reality. It's the number of wins Denver had.

I wrote that I expected their record to decline without Iggy. Nothing more, nothing less.

Make up whatever you want and dig yourself deeper.

I agree Iggy is probably a better fit in GS than Batum would be.

you know, before that end of the year slide, we were right there in contention for a playoff spot. with the improvements we made, we're at least 7th seed; perhaps 8th.

Lakers will miss the playoffs. yeah, i said it! :P
