The following is a press release from the Clark County Sheriff's Office regarding an unidentified man who stabbed and killed himself in front of police Wednesday moring:
On 11-9-11 at about 1030 hrs, deputies from the Clark County Sheriff's Office responded to 9406 NE 219th St near Battle Ground, Washington, on the report of a restraining order violation in progress. The suspect was located at the residence by deputies. During this contact, the suspect began stabbing himself in front of the deputies who attempted to intervene. The suspect sustained severe self-inflicted injuries and was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives from the Clark County Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Unit and the Battle Ground Police Department responded to the scene to take over the investigation. The deceased's name is not being released at this time.
