how can anybody interpret the true meaning of social media posts? I sure can't and I suspect quite often the people posting can't either

I just play total "Homer Fan" and make it mean exactly what i want it to mean. Even when it's only the way I see it!how can anybody interpret the true meaning of social media posts? I sure can't and I suspect quite often the people posting can't either
Why do you let stuff like this upset you so much? You bitch about EVERYTHING bro….ON and OFF the court. #DeepBreathsBasketball or not, why constantly make cryptic posts all the time? Speak your mind or don’t.
lol, why would anyone assume otherwise, give me a break.
He also posted a 40 minute IG live while playing with his kids in the evening during Game 1 of the Phoenix series. Think we all need to relaxDecent chance it does
Could be him threatening to leave….AGAIN
Could be him knowing it will take Sharpe to get a player that will help us get to the 1st round
Could be about Nurk and knowing he’s not the guy to help this team succeed deep into the playoffs
Could be about Jerami Grant going somewhere else
Did you see me way in the back? I thought I was getting invited over to hang….he had me wash his cars FAMS!He also posted a 40 minute IG live while playing with his kids in the evening during Game 1 of the Phoenix series. Think we all need to relax

Still gotta pay bills in the offseason.Washing cars AND mowing lawns? Quite handy to have around.
So playoffs aren’t important to him?He also posted a 40 minute IG live while playing with his kids in the evening during Game 1 of the Phoenix series. Think we all need to relax
I've very relaxed about it, just pointing out the obvious. Thanks for your concern though.Think we all need to relax
No but do people not realize how embedded he is in thr community? Dude has built a compound in the city and lile 90% of his fam lives in PDX. He's shown us time and again that he is upfront about everything. If he is going to leave, he will tell the FO without playing games on IG.Did you see me way in the back? Yeah, I don't think he'd ever post a cryptic hint if he was set on leaving. I think Dame would keep that hush hush and just let the FO get the most they could for him going to a situation that was also good for him.No but do people not realize how embedded he is in thr community? Oh I think the needle will move. I just don't know how much in picks we will overpay to move that needle and if that needle will move to the point where we are contenders or just a playoff team vying for HCA.So no needle moving

The media barrage is not "put on him". Dame chooses to go on Stephen A's show, he chooses to go on Dan Patrick... Dame chooses every interview he gives. The only thing Dame doesn't choose is who comments on those interviews or his media availability that the team/league mandates. I don't think he is just rattling cages, I think he was likely told things by Joe that elicited the IG response.Dame has learned to fuck with the media...I think it's him having fun and rattling some cages after the media barrage he gets put on him every offseason. also seems like he's on a recruiting tour out of the gate. ..I expect the needle to move this summer..
So no needle moving

I watched like 25 mins of it. If I didn’t have to get moving I would’ve watched the whole thing. He also posted a 40 minute IG live while playing with his kids in the evening during Game 1 of the Phoenix series. Think we all need to relax
my response was to the claim that Dames latest means Nurk and Ant are being moved. Unless they're fleecing some team's GM, that won't be enough to "move the needle" as those two are not hot commodities. Ant may have some perceived value, but I truly doubt any GM is trying to figure out how to get a lumbering oft injured 5 making 17M per.Needles can move both directions. It’s pretty certain that if Cronin makes the changes Dame is asking for that the needle will move in a positive direction, at least in terms of wins. The question is, by how much? If the Blazers trade Dame, it’s also pretty probable that the needle will go in a negative direction with a young roster. The question in that event is, for how long?

The needle movers on this roster are Dame and Shaedon.

I’m certain there are rules around here about “Riffing”.Thanks for the explanation. I was more just riffing of your comment than replying to it.
The value is the pick that comes with either of those two. If that is not enough for a player who might not resign with them after next year, then sure....a trade won't work. But how often is a top 6 or 7 pick included in a trade? If that has no value then why bother collecting protected draft picks for trade purposes? I realize that there are only a limited number of teams that would actually meet our criteria for a trade, but that is true of most trades.
If Sharpe is the needle mover and we got him at #7, how do we know there is not another unproven young player with a ton of potential that other teams may fall in love with? Maybe that will be Walker or the Thompson brothers. Players often shoot up the draft board once teams start bringing them in for evaluations.
Its possible they already have a trade worked out, and could draft for someone else? While that very well may happen, no opposing GM is gonna let it out that he LOVES player XYZ and has to have him when being approached about a trade. The opposing GM will be down playing the talent pool in the draft doing everything he can to actually devalue our high lottery pick. Portland will only know who a GM would be targeting if they have a top 3 pick. Beyond that it is very subjective. In summary, Portland will have no leverage when peddling the lottery pick.
I agree. I think Cronin and other GM's already have details on potential deals ready to go. It's just depending on slotting. Obviously the Blazers probably keep the rights to Wemby if they get pick1. But if Milwaukee offered Giannis (don't see it happening, but you never know) For Pick 1, that changes things. But pick 2 on, i think discussions have already been done between teams not involved in these playoffs. Its possible they already have a trade worked out, and could draft for someone else?
no it doesn't. Besides the upside of what VW could bring on the court, considering how much of a world wide media superstar he's slated to be, I'm pretty much positive no owner would want to give up potentially 10-20 years of that gravy train. Unless some team comes across sordid scandalous stuff or uncovers some degenerative condition for him physically, no team will be trading Victor no matter what is offered. But if Milwaukee offered Giannis (don't see it happening, but you never know) For Pick 1, that changes things.
Pretty much everyone said as much about Anthony Davis and Zion.no it doesn't.
