I just want the irony of 300 pages........and then Dame shows up for the season. As an older guy, I find that freaking hilarious.

from article;

“My sense is that the Blazers have done a lot more talking with teams in the last, say 10 to 14 days, than they did probably in at least a month plus prior,” ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski said, via RealGM. “A big part of that is the league is back to work now after Labor Day, and training camp is starting to approach. And that’s the next real deadline in this process.

“But I think Portland, what they’ve been trying to do, is see how they could put together multi-team deals that would get them the assets that they would want. Draft picks, young players. There might be a team that their best asset is a veteran player that doesn’t interest the Blazers, but there’s a third team who might want to take on that veteran and then send whether it’s a young player or picks in part to Portland.

“So I think they’ve been in communication with a lot of teams trying to find a structure of a deal that can get them a Damian Lillard trade. We’ll see now how much traction they can get between now and the start of camp.”

Despite being warned by Lillard’s agent to stay away, several teams beyond just the Heat have considered trading for him, sources told Hoops Wire. Several others have offered to act as a third-team facilitator.

Scottie Barnes probably remains the player I'm most interested in acquiring.

Not really any others - I guess maybe Jarrett Allen. It would probably have to be at least a 4 team deal though.

OKC or Nets getting involved would be great as they have much better assets than the Heat.

Would love if if Dame gets shipped elsewhere and we get better assets than anything the Heat have.

I kind liked that franchise even through the LeBron era and especially last year in their run to the finals. But their entitled fans and media have really been annoying the last few months.

Side note, why do some people post tweets that display on their post, and others just have x.com links like me?

The fact that teams are seriously pitching for Herro right now probably means that we're very close to terms with what the Heat are giving up.

So many members of the media are just flat out lazy. Every time I hear one of them whinge about the salary cap and call any fans who understand the cap a bunch of nerds, I just roll my eyes. It's pathetic when people who aren't even paid can do your job better than you can. It's not even that hard to do a tiny bit of research on cap rules and the CBA. It's all readily available online and there's a lot of resources to help explain it. They're just not putting in the work to understand their job on a basic level.
This is what motivates me every morning I wake up……

Hayward's expiring and first rounders available in 26, 28 and 30.

Maybe if they also get Martin from Miami.
When I tried the Trade Machine they needed more salary going their direction from Miami.
But without getting more assets Charlotte would be foolish to give up 3 first for Herro just to get rid of an expiring deal.
