Given the new CBA, I wonder if there is any difference in difficulty in trading Dame now or say the last couple of weeks under the old CBA?

Joe pushed him to this. He gave Joe so many chances to take one swing any swing and the only thing Joe ever gave him was Jerami. It's bullshit. The only positive is that we can stop wondering. The writing was seemingly on the walls. Now just worried about the return, I know we'll get him someplace he'd like to be but he really wanted to be here. Fucking Cronin!

He couldn’t be traded before the new CBA anyway. They could announce it sooner but the trade couldn’t be finalized until the 9th.
 
I don't blame Damian for asking out and I actually don't even blame in Portland or wanting to move on but they dang well better get nice package of young players and draft picks for him. If this is just a get him to Miami for crap than he is killing us on the way out. Although I guess he doesn't have to do us any favors anymore.
 
Breaks my heart to see him go. He’ll be beloved by the franchise and the city for a really long time. I just hope he doesn’t fire shots at us or disrespect us when he’s gone. I get the feeling that he has more class than that.

Best case scenario for us. No hard feelings with dame the best blazer ever AND the Blazers get to build around Scoot, Shaedon and assets from a Dame trade for the future.. Let’s go! The Dame era was played out long ago
 
I really hope it’s Brooklyn but the moves Miami has already made tells me it’s not.
 
Look with a shitty owner like Jody it’s for the best. None of them know the sport in Vulcan. Sell the team already. And yes the Lillard shirts are now probably for checking oil . Or drying off dogs
 
It felt like this was coming for some time. More and more, I found my posts seemed to have a tone of inevitability. Not surprised, but sad it had to come to this.

Now......if Joe ends up with the crap he did from his first 2 major trades, I can't imagine the size of the uproar.

Can't truly hate on Dame for this, but I really thought he was different.

Better be one hell of a package coming back.
 
Cronin is Olshey. Unwilling or incapable of doing anything. This is going to go down as one of the biggest ever failures of this franchise. Even for folks who believe we have a bright future... Cronin fell into all of it by luck. Over a longer timeline where he's going to have to take action... we're doomed.

I'm devastated. Time for me to go back into hibernation.

This was my first damn thought too.

I'm shocked. I felt it, but you never wanted to believe it.

I said in another thread that "maybe the reason Grant signed it is he knew he would be a #1." But I didn't think it was actually the case (and may not be, but hard not to think it)

No, if it comes to that, then Joe is again a fucking idiot. Joe did this. Saying he'd do shit and then not doing anything besides sometimes the opposite. I can't believe we overpaid Jerami by so much and wonder if we can work it into a S&T because it's still the moratorium. I hope so or I hope that he still has trade value by the deadline despite that huge contract because he won't really belong on the team.
