IDK if this is blasphemous but....Grant/Scoot/One of Deni/Toumani + Bucks Picks for Giannis next off-season. Semi-calling my shot now.
 
Imagine, 48 years since we won the title. And it was known as a “Cinderella Team.”

We are set up nicely for 26-27 (even a possibility Dame returns in late 2025-26!)

Dame WILL recover. In Dame we trust.

And we will have a season to assess Scoot, Sharpe and also our two young centers.

A possible trade next Summer “could” sending Scoot, Clinghan, 2029 first back and pick swaps back - in exchange for Greek Freak - can you imagine?

Didn't work in Milwaukee, why not have it not work here lol
 
This is awesome. I'm not concerned about having Scoot, Jrue and Dame. Dame's going to need most of the year to rehab and Jrue might be easier to trade next year if Scoot takes that next step, which I think he will.

Exactly. You take Dame back all day, every day. Salary is fine. I'm betting Dame is humble, Hungry and will do whatever the team needs. Still can't wait to see how this transpired. Hope Joe comes out soon with Dame for an interview. Will be a Beautiful Day

Yep, but I can't see this happening until next off-season. Giannis has two years guaranteed left on his deal and a PO in 27-28. The timelines actually match up perfect because:

Dame will be coming back in 26-27.
Giannis will effectively be an expiring in 26-27. If the Bucks do not play well next season he has to be evaluating options, and that would artificially deflate his value.
Portland is uniquely positioned to allow Milwaukee to do a complete reset that season, since we own the following 3 drafts.

Giannis is awesome, but if you have to give away Deni or Tou, you're not getting back the defense or shooting the team would need.

What are the chances they delay the press conference until they have installed the new owners, just in case Cronin is canned? Idk, I feel like there's going to be a shuffling of the chairs once someone new buys the team.

Yeah, if they're getting control of their picks back that's pretty good for them.
 
I wonder if this was part of the reason there was no Jrue press conference?

And Billups. Scoot is going into year 3, will have arguably the best PG mentorship on one squad in nba history and will have plenty of playing time. If he can’t figure it out a year from now bye girl
 
Supposedly Lillard plans to come back by the all-star break. Remember Wes and Kobe came back much earlier in like 8 months. Both sucked ass though. KD took the whole year off and seemed close to the same.

Not thrilled with the price. He is getting his full max deal from the Bucks and could have signed with the Blazers for the minimum and would still be getting all his money. Portland is reportedly already hard-capped. This is probably for the MLE and puts them in a worse cap space.

I also don't like the no-trade clause. That will hamstring Portland down the road.

Nice to have him back, but not in this way.

Not too mention he probably won't play the first year , then has an out for the third year.
