Best news possible. Forfeit game 5 go home with no more injuries. Then start making changes that include everyone not named Dame and rebuild.

Yes. Thank lord. I was hoping and thinking it was a sprain....Rest up Dame!!! And get this man a proper team. Jesus christ, 36 year old melo can not be starting 35+ minutes.

Yeah, I'm not a doctor but I've had 4 knee surgeries and several MRIs so when it came back inconclusive, that's a sign that nothing big was broken, torn or ruptured. Glad to see it shouldn't impact Dame in the future.

Thank god. This dude been killing and really deserved all the success. Feel bad he plays for an organization that can’t get him pieces. I had a good feeling it was nothing when the first one came inconclusive. Next year!!

C’mon Neil, it’s your time now to put some good players to pair with Dame. This team proves that they are a playoff team but we need some fire power to get over the hump.

Must be a partial MCL tear. Not a big deal. Phew!!

I had one when I was 18 playing ball, heard a POP and thought I’d blew out my knee., yet was back playing tournaments in 2 weeks. 4 weeks completely fine except for inflammation at times as I get older and exert. Rest up, Dame, and see you in January!

Sit CJ, Melo, and Nurk too. Wave the white flag.

Simons / Adams
Trent
Hoard
Gabriel / Hezonja
Whiteside

If Lillard doesn't need my knee he could at least let me play for him.
We've been over this....

Chris Haynes says Dame can't even extend his leg right now. Swelling must be crazy

Time to think ahead to next season. We all know that there will be no wholesale changes at coaching/GM. But Whitesides and Melo will probably walk because of more cash elsewhere. I don't know where Portland will be in terms of the cap etc.

What kind of season has this been? At least Dame avoided the worst case scenario and it sounds like there will be no long-term issues with the knee.

You'd think down 40 you wouldn't risk it either....

2020 is a bullshit year.

True story, and a true aside:

Back in 199something, I was working in a fileroom. I had been up for over 48 hours for whatever reason and feeling mighty funny. Back in the files I put one away, and as I stared at the numbers, I heard a voice distinctly say: "That is the year you are going to die." I freaked and looked all around and no one else was there. I called my wife (at the time) and told her the story.

"What year?!?" she asked.

And I'd forgotten. I'm starting to think it was 2020.

And now you continually repeat Monty Python - "I'm not dead yet!"

That's how my MCL sprain was. The swelling is on the sides of the knee. I had to keep my knee bent, it was swollen so I couldn't extend my knee. Rasied on a pillow whenever I slept, it was hard to get around.
