Portland Trail Blazers second-year guard Damian Lillard was named as a participant in the 2014 BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge game at NBA All-Star weekend in New Orleans by a vote of NBA assistant coaches, it was announced today by the league.

The game will tip-off on Friday, Feb. 14, at 6 p.m. (Pacific), and will be broadcast live from New Orleans Arena on TNT.

not sure if you're serious, but in case anyone is wondering this is obviously false as Lillard would be an automatic selection for RSC whether or not he made the ASG.

in the West backcourt, where there are four candidates (Conley, Parker, Goran Dragic and Damian Lillard) contending for just two All-Star spots...Between them, Lillard was my first cut.

and he's writing under the pretense of following the coaches voting rules, while simultaneously inserting Harden and LMA into the starting lineup. the coaches do still have to vote those guys in, and Chris Paul IS still on the table as far as the coaches are concerned. he's just another reporter giving an opinion, not making anything that translates to a meaningful prediction of what the coach's vote will be.
