That is the medical decision. There is no evidence it works. Doctors can’t just inject patients willy nilly because they think it may do something. It could make it worse. They take an oath to do no harm.
Great. As long as a medical board is making the decision I'm good with it.

If the NIH (for example) hasn't approved it as a therapy then it wouldn't be "illegal" necessarily. It would not be an approved treatment.

Maybe just a miscommunication.

*Edited to better explain my position*

PRP costs ~$600 vs $6000 iirc. Despite 20+ years of approval in the US PRP isn't covered by insurance because of lack of "evidence." Well my evidence is it's the only treatment to get my knees back on the soccer pitch and basketball court. Wish I could afford the cells.

I read CJ has just purchased a 318 acre vineyard for his wine franchise in Oregon. First NBA player ever to own a vineyard according to the article. Good to see former friends investing in Oregon again. ( This is an old article, I double checked and it is 2021)

I thought he had a winery out here already?

I thought that happened some time ago. Am I wrong?

Bought it summer of 21’ when he was still a Blazer.

He did, this is an acreage, not a winery...a vineyard as I said above....it was an old article from 2021 ....apologize for missing the date after reading it and thanks for the correction.

I don’t think there is much data to indicate “stem cells” could augment Achilles healing in humans. So there are adult human stem cells capable of differentiating into tendon precursors upon injection? Nfw. Sure try it if it makes you feel better but it won’t do shit. All there is out there are anecdotal reports by charlatans. MACI is totally different and for cartilage. Only major fda approved stem cell treatments are, of course, hematopoietic stem cell transplants ie bone marrow transplants etc.
Thank you. Unproven and there have been some terrible results. Dame should stick with experienced physical therapists.

That decision should be made by medical professionals. Not the legal system.
Incorrect. Americans wasted millions of dollars on umproven, useless and sometimes dangerous quack remedies. Still do. I have no problem using legal system. Unfortunately now under brain worm it's being used to get rid of actual science based medicine but that's another discussion.

The legal system is too easy to weaponize, IMO. The medical payment system (which should be Medicare For All) should require only a licensed medical professional's recommendation that a procedure or drug is medically necessary with possibly a second opinion.

Doctors should risk losing their license for acting in bad faith or for fraud. And if they do lose their license they should also be exposed to potential legal repercussions as well lawsuits for causing harm.
