Here is what it is...
One way or the other change is coming to the Blazers roster. That is uncomfortable, especially with the Blazers given history around trades and free agency. It's hard to trust that those in charge won't fuck it up.
Dame hasn't asked to be traded. He has put some pressure on the Blazers to put veterans around him. He has said it is not his preference to spend more time building around rookies. He hasn't said, if you don't get veterans trade me.
He went online and was asked...if he was traded which teams he would like to go to. He answered Miami and Brooklyn. He did not demand a trade to either team. He then said he anticipates being a Blazer next season in the same online Q and A.
Miami lost out on Beal and are fantasizing about Dame. Too bad for them, the Blazers aren't shopping him. They are looking to trade for vets to put around Dame. Which is scary because we could be giving up future all stars to do it. So, I get it, but I think there is some overreaction. The Sky is not falling. Not, yet anyway.
