I understand all that, but the thing is you do not know if Dame will ask to be traded because Portland is taking Scoot. It may happen, it may not. We simply don't know what Dame will do

in fact, we don't even know yet if Portland will draft Scoot

yet, as I said, you have reached the conclusion that Portland is definitively drafting Scoot and that means Dame is definitely asking for a trade. And are saying those two things are done deals, over and over. You may be right, but I sure can't see how you can be so certain
First, it's not about being right anymore, it's about being first when you guess right. Second, it seems there are fans who think that their ideas here....actually have an effect on the decisions made.

Just freaking out a bit man. Draft eve for the second most important draft in my life. Sorry if it's been a little annoying or will be again before all of this is said and done.

it's no problem man...I like you a lot as a poster. I just thought you went a bit overboard with sudden conclusions

you very well could end up right about the impact on Dame if Portland picks Scoot. I just think people are underestimating Dame's desire to stay in Portland

something else too...Scoot has been compared often to Derrick Rose. I think a Dame/Rose combo could be deadly in the NBA. Yeah, there would be defensive problems, but not opponent could double team Dame anymore is prime-Rose was catching Dame's outlet pass

OKC started THREE point guards in 2019-20 and got the 5 seed.
Posts like this are disingenuous. OKC started Shai at 6'6", Giddey at 6'8" and then a PG sized monster at SF in Dort 6'4". This is obviously far far different from what we're talking about with our team.

Sometimes I can't sleep on the night before the draft but I think I got all of my crazy out earlier this evening and afternoon and morning so I should be good to sleep tonight. I mean not all of my crazy but at least enough to let me sleep.
I might regret asking but what do you do to get "all of my crazy out"?

Best chance. I would submit that Scoot or Brandon are more likely to be 'hits' than Sharpe was even thought he had a high upside possibility.
Can’t wait to see the needle mover we get for one of them

are you optimistic we move the pick and get a "needle mover"? seems like the sentiment is swing back toward Scoot going to Char
Will move the pick. Not for a needle mover. Dame will then ask out at the deadline and we’ll get less value for him

No. In 2019-20, OKC started Chris Paul, Dennis Schroeder, and SGA. 3 point guards. And they got the 5 seed.

Found Dames account.

Nope just a diehard fan who’s had season tickets for longer than most people have been alive.
Someone who is tired of always kicking the can down the road and always having to wait….take a fucking swing. Dame has been with us through all the bullshit. Take.a.swing.

The problem is that we likely have a batter who doesn’t have the power to actually hit it out of the park. They can maybe hit a double or a triple at best.

I don't necessarily think we would get less for him at the deadline. I think an argument can be made that teams who are close to being contenders, but are missing a piece, might be more inclined to offer more if they think he will put them over the top. Or a contending team might have an injury and could be desperate to get him. The only way I see us getting less value is if Dame got hurt. It's not like we are hearing about any great hauls for him now.
