Trade Dame to Milwaukee

28, 29 and 30 picks are all potentially lotto picks.

Not necessarily likely, but possible. Giannis will be 33, 34 and 35 (years 15, 16 and 17). Still young enough to be competitive, but at the tail end of his career. But who knows what will happen between then and now. And honestly, Milwaukee is a harder location to build up than something like Miami.

Dame will be retired by then (or more likely, not on the Bucks anymore), and either an aging Giannis or even maybe no longer on the Bucks Giannis, it could lead to decent picks for Portland.

And hopefully in 4, 5 and 6 years, Scoot and Shaedon will be hitting their strides at 23/24, 24/25 and 25/26.

Are the swap picks also unprotected, or just the 29 pick?
All picls from bucla are protentionless

That's priceless

Did we take on salary or cut salary here?

Sorry, but i gotta vent

My head hurts and i feel sick.

My favorite player ever was traded for TRASH.

yea i said it.

-Ayton is not a legitimate player for a playoffs team.

-Jrue is old and expiring=very little value.

-One draft pick my unborn son will get to watch and 2 swaps?! Helloooo we'll probably have the same record as them by then.

Cronin is terrible, I don't like him. He gives me anxiety and i don't trust ANYONE on this roster.

/Sorry

It addresses this, he addresses what sounds like his now dissolved marriage and he ends the song talking about us the fans here in Portland and how he hopes we know that he loves us and hopes we can greet him with love whenever we see him. I thought the ending was cool.
He also lays blame on the franchise for choosing "another mission."

Um, he was a starter on a team that went to the finals.

Jrue isn't expiring because he's not getting more 39M in free agency, so he will either extend or go into a lame duck season after this upcoming season. He's no older than Dame. Every contending team who isn't completely set with their back court aka every team that was mentioned as being interested in Dame.

Ayton could be great but he's easily a starting center as the fourth or fifth best player on a playoff team and that's if he stays who he's been.

Wait until we see the return on Jrue.

So in 10 years when we are trying to trade 8 time allstar Scoot Henderson…..can the self appointed INSIDERS on here just stay the hell out of it. Save your know it all posts and videos we had to endure this past offseason? I’m begging you.

This offseason has not passed. We still need to see what happens with Jrue.

This is your heart speaking. Your head will catch up later.
BTW, your favorite player didn't want you any more...

Ayton is not a legitimate player for a playoff team????

He had 24 and 14 and hit the game winner in game 2 of the 2021 conference finals. He averaged 18 pts, on 70% shooting, and 14 rebounds in that series against the Clippers.

We needed one dissenting opinion. Its filled with very little logic, but its there! Go ahead and re-read the trade and you'll see it was good. Its unanimous once people come around to it.

Um, 17 and 10 and 18 and 10?

Really with the numbers now?

Just tell me you've watched him these 2 past playoffs and liked what you've seen. Tell me you thought "this is a championship caliber player".

In 2 years we'll ship him for some bench player in Detroit or Atlanta

Oh, so like the year when he averaged 18 ppg in the playoffs and 13 (as easily the 4th option)?

again, are you sure you're not thinking of Wiseman?

What I can definitively tell you is that I never looked at Nurk that way.

I guarantee you, unless Joe knocks the Jrue part of this deal out of the park that things will get more split. Most of us are reserving judgment until we see what the return on Jrue is.

Nah I'm good with it regardless. Dunno why anyone wouldn't be. I see them as two different trades.
I see Ayton as a different trade but I see Jrue as an extension of the Dame trade. If Jrue never plays a game for us, how is that a separate deal than the return we got for Dame???

What does it say that nobody's started a Dame Appreciation Thread. Sad end to the Blazers career of the franchise leading scorer.

… Oh, you wired me awake
And hit me with a hand of broken nails
Yeah, you tied my lead and pulled my chain
To watch my blood begin to boil
… But I'm gonna drink, I'm gonna drink your
I'm gonna drink your salty tears and run
… Yeah, I'm gonna drink, I'm gonna drink your

Cornell was the best. Of course, when Johnny Cash covered the tune, it became even more iconic to me.
