It was clear he was done with us. That's what I heard.A very interesting thing he says early.
"I was thinking I may be getting to training camp and id be sitting and waiting"
Could mean something innocuous, but interesting.
A lot of divorced guys bulk up to feel like they're still attractiveAs an aside, it looks like Dame bulked up. He looks freaking huge in that Bucks uni.
He looks like he's trying to accept his fate.
I really do think he's going to love playing in Milwaukee. He should be over the moon. I just don't get why he's not showing more excitement at the opportunity before him. He's going to feel like he's been let out of jail as they're going to have to play him honestly.Sounds like he’s still in shock and wondering “How in the F did I get here”
he also sounds like he’s on a business trip. I think it’s gonna a good fit for him
If I were them, I'd be p***ing my pants too, no matter how enthused he did or didn't seem.Bucks forum think he gave a great interview fwiw. Going crazy over there.

He never rescinded his trade request. He wanted to stay here while we continued to try to work out a deal with the M'eat. I can understand why Cronin rejected that offer.but I heard he wanted to reconcile and mend fences…. that’s what his mouf piece said…

My bad. Man, my sarcasm meter is off today.Thought the sarcasm would be clear. Read enough regurgitated and incomplete articles that made it sound like we dumped Dame and that he wanted to “reconcile”. Like the blazers org did him dirty.
Yeah. That is something he is very good about.i will miss the thoughtful answers

My take?He just commented on the weather and kind of stepped in it.
I think in his heart of hearts, he was already in Miami. He looks like he's trying to accept his fate.

I'm just saying--like the rest of you--I have seen a lot of interviews with Dame, and he seems more subdued than I expected him to be given the situation into which he's been traded. He also referred to Portland more than I expected, not just about the team, but how it became home to him. It's like he's hoping Milwaukee will be similar.
Hard truth of things sometimes. Gonna miss Dame for sure.My take?
He was lied to by his agent. Dame didn't want to request a trade for fear of this exact situation. Dame would rather be in Portland rebuilding than in Milwaukee competing for titles. His agent talked him into demanding out by saying he would make sure no other team would have the guts to trade for him.
Cronin finally said: You're going to be traded. You aren't going to Miami. If you have any other preferences you had better make them known before I pull the trigger.

It gives me hope he'll retire here at least. I'd like that.Hard truth of things sometimes. Gonna miss Dame for sure.
There is just a certain ennui I can't place. In thinking about it, I believe that's what I may have been seeing.I can't help but wonder if his lack of enthusiasm is rooted in getting over the shock of leaving the team that drafted him, the city he loves, etc. That's what I feel like I'm seeing. He's still processing this massive turning point in his life.
