Damian Lillard meets with owner Paul Allen over team direction

You don't think the two talk? And maybe talk about how we need another shooter or rebounder?

I actually don’t. But at the same time Neil shouldn’t need to talk to Terry to understand what this team needs. None of us talk to him yet we all know the deal.

Dame specifically brought up the Barton trade and why was he traded? If that is any way true, you don't have to be fucking Yoda to figure out what Dame is suggesting.

Don't even have to b Jar Jar Mookie-Stinks...:smiley-undecided:

I would call Milwaukee and offer CJ, 1st rd pick and Collins for Middleton and Parker then see if we can get Hood for a package including Napier. But I wouldn’t make the Milwaukee trade until I knew I had Hood.

I don’t want to trade Collins either but those are the type of players you have to be willing to move to make any real splash.

Add our 1st to Milwaukee and Milwaukee and Portland’s 2nds to Utah. Or some type of conditional 1st.

That's brutal IMO. Ugly, dangerous trade.

I swear if we wake up February 8th to "Portland Trail Blazer star Damian Lillard traded to New York Knicks for Frank Ntilikina, Tim Hardaway Jr, Doug McDermott, and an undisclosed future first round pick" I will cry
IF that happened... the tears... would come 1st... THEN I'd shit myself & cont. to do so after I had died from a heart attack:wook:

Would Cleveland give us Love, Shumpert and that sweet Brooklyn pick for CJ and Vonleh?

Then we could move Aminu to SF and plug planet Pat into the starting 2 guard spot.

It wouldn't be for this year, but that pick could either, A, net us a potential stud in the draft, or B, enable us to land a special wing via trade....

Meh, I'm not sure I like it, but it's a thought

There's no way they give up that pick AND Love for CJ....

I wonder how Allen feels about this being leaked?

I'm surprised how little attention that aspect has gotten. A one-on-one meeting that no one else in the organization knew about until after the fact? Allen isn't much for going to the press, so that doesn't leave many options for who shared details of the meeting, if indeed any of the report is factual.

CJ would probably like playing in Cleveland, with LeBron, as he's a Browns fan.

Not that it will ever happen (as I doubt the veracity of the rumor, nor do I think the Spurs would take anything that Portland would offer back), I would trade anyone not named Damian for Kwahi Leonard.

CJ/Turner --->>>---Love/Crowder/CFEC and swap of 1st round picks?

This is our one shot to land a top 5 player. Take all his injury history into consideration and get him here to run with Dame!

How.....? With who....? I'd love to get him but how do we make that happen....? :sigh:

C.J, Nurk, and who ever else for Kawhi. It's not happening, but it's nice to think about it lol

I think Olshey is in trouble after reading the article. There really isn't much he can do at this point. You don't make a trade just to be making a trading, it has to have a purpose. His trading of Barton looks really stupid now. And Aflallo was a big mistake. HCP has mentioned that Aflallo is a dick. He probably didn't mesh well with the locker room.

Why don't any of our local media guys get these scoops? Does Chris Haynes still have a better relationship with Dame and his camp than anyone still in POR?

Kevin Love is so far out the door in Cleveland right now that his agent has called to ask what's a good time to pick up his locker room sneakers. If Neil can't find a way to flip into a positive, a local star on a team that needs savvy veterans, then he's hopeless.
I thought I heard Lebron loves Shabazz? True?

First sit down they’ve had?

PA is very aloof.
No kidding. If I owned the team I'd make it a point to have one-on-one meetings with all the players. Do NBA owners not do that?

That would completely let Aldridge off the hook. He could say, "see, told you I'd retire a Blazer, ya know".

BNM

Although, Aldridge would love playing next to Nurk. While in Portland, he had his best years playing next to RoLo, and hated playing next to the undersized Hickson. He loves to have a big body on the floor to do the dirty work, so he doesn't have to.

Star with:

Kawhi to POR
C.J. to CLE
Love to SAS

That actually works salary wise (and gets us under the luxury tax threshold, too). Throw in role players and picks as necessary.

But, if you can get Kawhi Leonard, the hell with worrying about the luxury tax. You do whatever it takes.
