Seriously, what happens when we get back to shooting 44% from the field? Are we going to be unstoppable? The games we lost were from narrow margins and the games we won were major blow-outs. I can't imagine Blake 35%, Fernandez 43%, Webster 37%, Miller 39% and Outlaw 37% averaging the low percentage from the perimeter as they have so far this season.

Once these players get out of their "Funk" I really think we will be hard to stop.

On a side note. Everyone is throwing Webster under the bus, but he's shooting the same as Outlaw and better than Blake. Weird.

Yeah, the team is just shooting bad, even Roy is a good 5% down from last year.

They started going away from easier baskets in the last few games, and jacking up jumpers instead.

Blake 2-10, all from 3. Oden 4-4 all from inside. I am not trying to single Blake out because it's more than just him, but that gives you an idea of why we are shooting so poorly.

Frankly, the really poor shooting started after they implimented the ISO's

Rudy's in a bit of a slump, Martell isn't exactly setting the world afire, Blake is a hot plate of garbage from outside lately and Roy is taking it to the hole less often and is having a down shooting year from both distance and midrange. Put that together with the absence of Batum, who didn't take a lot of shots, but hit them at a pretty good rate of efficiency and could finish well and it doesn't look so good. I would guess that eventually some guys are going to step it up and return closer to their personal norms, but for now it looks pretty awful when a jump shooting team can't hit an open shot. If it weren't for our interior defense (and overall defense) and our offensive rebounding and second chance points this team probably be looking down the barrel of a 4-7 start.

Not to heap on Blake, but so far he's having a second year Sergio kind of bad season ... with fewer assists.

That's why I am such a fan of defense. The defense alone has won us 5 games.

I've been looking over stats at 82games.com and basketball-reference.com and I'm actually shocked that Rudy actually has a higher shooting % from both the floor and from three than he did last year ... maybe it's just the turnovers that are making me think he's been playing (and shooting) so poorly.

Yeah I looked him up as well, thinking I was going to use him as a reference, only to see he's shooting well. Weird! HAHAHAHA

The simple fact is points in the paint = higher shooting percentage.
