To answer OP...

Dan Sheldon is a really good facilitator of basketball discussion. Not trying to pigeon hole the guy but if they want to get this listener back to RCR he should stick to that strength.

I was going to reply to this with a few lines about how bored she looked and when she asked him to stop he kept interupting her, but I don't think the guy deserves raunchy comments about his wife. That is pretty crappy. I just think he is a lousy talk show host that took over a show that was a great listen for a Blazer fan such as myself. When you have a long commute it is great to listen to someone who talks Blazers and is fairly knowledgable like the last guys. As many have stated on here Sheldon just needs to stick to being the set up guy and he would be fine. As the Dan Patrick talk radio host of this show it is pretty unbearable to listen to.

It seems really strange that guys who peruse a Blazer forum all day long searching for conversation about the Blazers, get tired of sports talk on a radio station and for some even if the talk is about the Blazers. To each his own, it just seems like a strange combo to me.

For us who don't listen to the Shit-Stew you call local sports talk, it would have helped had you explained what and who a Danforth is. Also who Sheldon is and what his job is.

Possible better title to the thread could have been...... Do you like Dan Sheldon as a radio host?

I thought maybe since you have been a member of this board since 2008 and have posted over 35,000 times that you might have noticed the post "Sheldon and Danforth say 72-73% chance Dwight Howard signs here" or the post that talks about how Danforth was no longer employed with Rip City Radio that drew a couple hundred posts. Or that being a Blazer fan (I guess) that you may have tuned into a radio show called Rip City radio at least once in the past year in a half.

So as for what I think? Pretty much have ascertained that SlyPokerDog is a total asswipe. It's always fun to have a dickhead like SlyPokerDog on these boards to make fun of.

HCP just has a way of pissing off rooks off even if it's not on purpose lmao.

There's no personal attacks allowed here rook! So calling someone a dickhead or a total asswipe isn't allowed. You could say "I would wipe my ass with that post" because you'd be attacking the post not the poster.

Btw, HCP knows who they are. You should stick around long enough to learn the personalities of this board before you start hurling insults.

And you trash someone who has been here longer than you and has 35000 more posts than you?? For what it's worth, I'm an old dude who has been a pretty avid fan since 1970. I am almost totally unfamiliar with Rip City Radio, never heard of Dan Sheldon, don't care about Dan Sheldon and the only reason I am aware of Taylor Danforth is because he crowned us Zeros. As HCP said, sports radio in Portland is a shit stew and plenty of us have better things to do with our minds and our time than listen to vacuous idiots engage in mental masturbation.

I also just edited a couple of other posts in this thread that weren't written by you. Pretty much the only rule we have here is no personal insults. You can attack what someone posts but not them personally. If you really need to insult someone you can insult me.

I have over 35,000 posts, true. And not one of them is about local radio shows or Canzano or Quick. Don't associate myself with them. Not really interested in local scrubs who don't know anything most of us here don't. Just like certain posters on here, I just skip by them and pay them no mind. I honestly don't know what RipCityRadio even is, no joke. I'm assuming that's the name of a station. And it's funny you question if I'm a fan and that if I AM a fan it's my duty to tune into said radio station. Why? Are they bringing some "inside" info I don't know. You've been here quite awhile and thought you knew how things worked. I was just asking for a better Thread title and you lost it. I don't know you, so I won't call you names. Have a good day bro.

But in all fairness, HCP did say he was tapping reds sister in fourth grade. Everyone is different. I know I have been guilty of misinterpreting HCP in the past, but when we are that abrasive even in humor, we must expect that not everyone is going to get it.

Just sayin'..I think HCP tapped my sister in fourth grade too and that's why she has issues with men. She says she has a been forever digusted and repulsed from the experience. ;)

Well here is the deal @BonesJones, if you were to read the posts from HCP you would see that me calling him those things was in complete response to his posts saying things such as tapping my sister. Dude hasn't pissed me off in the least as you state, but at the same time I don't really back down to that type of crap.

As for being a rook? I could give a shit how long you or I or anyone else has been on this board. I respect those who respond respectfully and those who dont I will let them know. How long they have been jerking off in front of this forum makes no difference to me. If the mod's want to ban me so be it, but I'm going to call it like I see it. HCP fits the qualities that I posted.

No one is asking you to back down, actually look at it as a challenge to kick your game up a notch. Gotta stop with the personal attacks. You can reply to someone you disagree with without insulting them.

The mods don't want to ban anyone. I do like to ban people but I prefer to be paid to do it. Look for my back to school banning sale!
 
Not knowing much about him, I just read he won Oregon sportscaster of the year in 2015 then right after that saw that Quick won for sportswriter the same year. I'll look him up on youtube and then weigh in...only know a small sample size of his work...
